Great Baddow Rovers Football Club (commonly referred to as the Baddow Rovers) is an Essexian professional football team based in Greater Baddow.
The club was the first to reach the minimum number of players for the Premier League, on the 18th February 2021.
In the 2022 season of the EPL, they finished 3rd in the league, behind Danbury Village A.F.C.
History
The Rovers were setup by Emperor Terry of Essexia on the 18th February 2021, following the formation of the EssexiAir Premier League. They were formed as first football team based in Greater Baddow. The Rovers were also the first team to reach the regulation minimum amount of 4 players.
On 23/02/2021 the team gained its first sponsor, Bearing420.
The club's logo was updated on the 3rd July 2021 to a more modern design, featuring radio waves (in relation to the Marconi tower in Greater Baddow) and an eagle design which is associated with the area.
The Rovers finished at the bottom of the table in the 2022 season of the EPL, with 0 points.[1] They loaned Danbury United F.C. goalee Ben S in the 2022 season due to the lack of Sam G, Danny and Harry B.
Culture
The club holds a rivalry against Danbury United, who were formed days prior to the Rovers.
Rovers players were some of the most proactive in creating contemptful chants to sing against United during matches.
