The Social Democratic Union was a Plushunian left-wing political alliance. It was founded on 9 August 2020 and having 2 member parties, the Social Democratic Party (PSD) and the National Union for the Progress of Plushunia (UNPP). The union was short-lived, only competing in the September 2020 legislative election and dissolving in October, when the UNPP, dissatisfied with the recent election of the socialist Ursu Polarescu to the presidency of its partner, the Social Democratic Party, decided to leave the alliance.
