The Minister of Defence (commonly shortened to Defence Minister) is the minister in the Government of Vishwamitra who is responsible for overseeing the nation's military and defence-related matters. The defence minister is the head of the Ministry of Defence and is also responsible in the administration of the Armed Forces of Vishwamitra.

The first minister of defence was Abhiraj Kar who was appointed on 14 May 2018 by then Supreme Leader Dhrubajyoti Roy. The current minister is Michal Nowacki who has been into office since 22 November 2021.
