The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (Hindi: युवा मामले और खेल मंत्रालय) is a ministry in the government of Vishwamitra which is responsible for maintaining and administering sports and youth related activities in the State. The ministry was formally established on 15 April 2007 as the "Ministry of Sports" and is one of the oldest continuing ministries of the government of Vishwamitra. In 2016, the ministry was renamed as the "Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs" and in 2022, it was renamed to its current name as the "Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports". The ministry is responsible for facilitating sporting arenas and ventures to the citizens of the state and also for hosting various sporting events in the state.
It was under the aegis of the Ministry of Sports that the first National Games were organized and successfully held in July 2015. It was also through the ministry that the nation maintains and coordinates its membership of the Micronational Olympic Federation.
History
The Ministry of Sports was first created in 2007. In 2015, the ministry was reformed to as the "Ministry of Fun" but in December, the same year it was renamed back to its original name. In July 2016, the ministry was renamed as the "Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs" and in 2022, it was renamed to its current name as the "Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports".
During the period between June 2020 and January 2021, the ministry became a department under the Ministry of Human Resource, Culture and Youth Affairs and again between March and May 2022 when it was merged to form the Ministry of Education, Culture and Youth.

The Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports is the head of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports who is responsible for the maintenance of the affairs of the ministry. Since the reforms of the ministry in June 2016, the minister of youth affairs and sports has been a minister of state with independent charge. The first minister was Dhrubajyoti Roy while the current minister is Manggala Alif Prasetia who has been in office since 12 November 2022.
