The Speaker of the National Assembly, officially the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Federated States of Gapla and also known as the Legislative Speaker of Gapla, is the head of the majority caucus of the National Assembly of the Federated States of Gapla. The office either has one holder, or is has no holders and is vacant if the National Assembly is dissolved by the President of Gapla, as it is currently due to the practical reformations to halt most of the government until Greater Danubia is inhabited by Gapla.
In theory, the speaker holds a term of one year and is elected by the people in general elections every February, and also serves as an advisor to the President of Gapla. However, the National Assembly is currently dissolved, and therefore the position is vacant.
