The Most Eminent Order of the Gaplan Star (OGS), commonly known as simply the Order of the Gaplan Star or by its post-nominals OGS, is the highest state honor of the Federated States of Gapla, bestowed rarely on anyone who has met the qualifications of a lifetime of honor, dedication, hard work, and devotion to the Federated States of Gapla. Due to its prestige, it is only allowed to be awarded to Gaplan citizens of at least one year (which inherently excludes the awarding of the order to foreign diplomats) and is awarded by the Sovereign Prince.
The order is a single-class order, with the only class being a commander, and members are called a Commander of the Gaplan Star.
Currently, the order has only been bestowed on two Gaplan citizens, namely Wyatt Baek and Chelsea Chen, but speculations for expansion, usually to Emma Bunnell or the original founders of Gapla-Phoenix should they return, is often discussed.
History and etymology
The first Gaplan order system was founded after the Gaplan Revolution, wishing to award citizens who did good for the country and to reserve the Royal Title Service for monetary income. The predecessor to the Order of the Gaplan Star was the Heroes of the Revolution of the Federated States of Gapla (HRFSG), which is in process of being turned into a prestigious service medal.
The problem with the first order system was that the orders were restrained to specific achievements only accomplishable in early Gapla. After MicroCon 2022, the Sovereign Prince created the new order system in Las Vegas, and it was released to the public in early 2023.
Etymology
The order's name comes from the star in the flag of the Federated States of Gapla, which represents the core nation and its sovereignty.
