The Labour Party of Abelden was a short-lived centre-left democratic socialist political party in the Abeldane Empire, founded on 7 June 2017 by Edwin Farrar, who was the party's only leader during its existence. At its peak, the party had 4 out of 37 seats in the Reichsversammlung, the Empire's legislature, and was part of the ruling coalition led by Vorsitzender Patrick Renwick.

It merged with the Social Ecology Party of Abelden (SEPA) on 9 August 2017 to form Abeldane Social Ecology – The Green Labour Party (ASE–GLP), more simply known as ASE.

History

On the 7th June 2017, the Labour party was formed after Edwin Farrar expressed an interest in spreading the Labour movement to the Abeldane Empire. It was granted a seat in the Reichsversammlung on the same day. On the same day Edwin Farrar started campaigning for new members for the party by posting posters which have been widely acclaimed by other Political Parties. on the 11th June, it signed a 'confidence and supply' agreement with the grand coalition. It then finally joined the grand coalition on the 18th June 2017 and in the process, Edwin Farrar became the Minister of Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs and Tarik Karjasary became the Attorney General.

Symbols and Icons

In line with most labour movements around the world, the Labour Party's identifying color was light red. Its main symbol was the red rose, a common element for social democratic and labour parties. The party also had a flag, which was checkered red and white.
