Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in Vilthia enjoy most of the same legal protections available to non-LGBT people since 2016, thanks to a law issued by the Sovereign Titianus II, promulgated and officially entered into force on June 28, 2016.
The new legislation, which has been approved by the Parliament, despite a vote of approval was not binding for its entry into force, introduces legal protections against discrimination and legalizes civil unions and marriages.
Despite this, only civil unions are today completely legal: will now be duty of the Parliament to adopt the proper legislation for the weddings, as a cause of the cited law.

Law regarding same-sex sexual activity

There are no laws to regulate the issue of the same-sex sexual activity. It can be said that, generally, homosexuals are tolerated.
A law to regulate the issue and to establish some LGBT rights has been proposed in 2013 by the centre-left politician Naima Saraceni at the Chamber of Representatives. The laws has been discussed, but the Regency of the Central Protectorate has vetoed it, waiting to examine the issue.
On October 2015 Titianus II announced a major reform in order to grant equal rights to every citizen, reform that became a reality on June 2016.
