Melayu Federal Territory (Indonesian: Wilayah Federal Melayu, Malay: Wilayah Persekutuan Melayu) is a first-level administrative region in Federal Republic of Los Bay Petros. With areas spread in the Indonesian island of Sumatera is calculated to be 215 square kilometers, Melayu Federal Territory is the largest first-level administrative region in Los Bay Petros after the Greater Salernosky state in Jakarta. Formed in August 2012, Melayu Federal Territory itself was a 3 separate states of Seulawah, Batangpura-Rigensgrad, and Westbrom.
The capital city of Melayu Federal Territory is Bandar Melayu, located in the Indonesian city of Jambi.
Ethymology
The name of Melayu Federal Territory is derived from the name Melayu, an Indonesian and Malay word for Malay. Malay is an ethnic group of Austronesian people predominantly inhabiting the Malay Peninsula including the southernmost parts of Thailand, south coast Myanmar and island of Singapore, coastal Indonesian including east of Sumatra, coastal Borneo, including Brunei, coastal Sarawak and Sabah, and the smaller islands which lie between these locations - collectively known as the Alam Melayu. These locations today is part of the modern nations of Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Southern Myanmar, Southern Thailand and Western Indonesia.
