The Micronational Times (formerly The Daily Micronationalist) is a web-based newspaper covering news and information from micronations. It is published from Kohlandia and functions as the principal newspaper for Kohlandia but has an international news beat. The newspaper is written from an independent perspective and takes no partisan viewpoint in its reporting.[1]
History
Foundation
The Daily Micronationalist was founded in Dunhallow, Kohlandia, on 5 September 2019 as a non-profit organisation.[1] The newspaper's content is governed by Kohlandian law and the Kohlandian Constitution; which allows it freedom of the press within the limits of defamation and false reporting laws. Since its inception, The Daily Micronationalist has reported on domestic and international news in a purposefully unbiased manner. Each story includes accompanying quotes from members of the micronational community, where relevant, in order to ensure the voices from all sides of the matter are heard.
Name Change
The Daily Micronationalist was the name of the international newspaper founded in Dunhallow, Kohlandia, on 5 September 2019. The newspaper rebranded as The Micronational Times on 6 February 2020,[2] to differentiate itself from the Daily Micronational newspaper.
