The dispute over the Roscam Liberation Front (RLF) between the Greater Roscam and Roscamistan governments was a legal and later military dispute in regards to the Roscam Liberation Front, which was declared a terrorist organisation by the Central Government on 15 January 2022, over a year after the foundation of the front. Days afterwards, the Executive Council of Greater Roscam issued Order 7, protecting the RLF from prosecution on grounds of cultural and nostalgic reasons.

In response to this, the Central Government threatened to suspend the devolved administration in Greater Roscam (being able to as they gave powers to the province on condition they could take it away whenever they want). The counter-response was that the devolved administration would send both the Roscamistan Volunteer Force and the Roscam Liberation Front to attack the Province of Mervustan if the administration in Greater Roscam was suspended.

Backdrop

In mid to late January 2021, Thomas Jacobs, frustrated at both his local city council ignoring the east of Galway City and over national lockdowns, started the Roscam Liberation Front, whose purpose was to free Galway City East from the neglectful Galway City Council. On 18 February 2021, the Republic of Roscamistan was declared.

Beginning of the event

In the Autumn of 2021, attempts were made by Defence Secretary Doros Patusky to place the RLF under the Ministry of Defence control. These plans failed as the RLF evaded control of the ministry of defence. On 25 November 2021, the Province of Greater Roscam was given an autonomous government. Thomas Jacobs, President of Roscamistan, became the first Prime Minister of Greater Roscam.

On 15 January 2021, as part of the total clampdown on rebel groups, the Central Government, on advice of the Ministry of Defence, declared the RLF a terrorist group. The Executive Council of Greater Roscam objected to this, and issued the now infamous Order 7. Order 7 detailed that basically, the Government of Greater Roscam would protect the RLF from prosecution on grounds of cultural and nostalgic reasons. The Central Government objected to this, threatening suspension of administration in the Province of Greater Roscam. The Greater Roscam government threatened civil war if this happened. Now the two governments were deadlocked, with either possible decision leading to war.

Civil War

On 17 February 2022, the Roscam Liberation Front attacked the base of the Roscamistan Volunteer Force, betraying the provincial government after abandoning Thomas Jacobs, declaring it would destroy leftism in Roscamistan and fight for a fascist government. This set off the 2022 RLF-Greater Roscam war, between the rogue RLF and the Greater Roscam Government. Thomas Jacobs declared that the Ironfist Regiment would hunt the RLF and its allies, now that the Front abandoned Jacobs, its supreme commander since its foundation. It was later discovered by Ludwig Collins that the Ballinfoylish Syndicalist Front (BSF) was allies with the Front, wishing to destabilise the nation of Roscamistan.

End of the crisis

The war would end on 25 February 2022, after the surrender of the Liberation Front and the Ballinfoylish Syndicalist Front. The two organisations were dissolved and their assists seized by the Roscamistan Army and the Ballinfoylish Army respectively.
