The Confederacy was a micronation that existed from September 2005 to June 2014, aperoximately 8 years. It was formed by a bunch of 2 and 3 year olds, including Dylan Emborough, its founder and future founder of Hodiny. It was dedicated to protecting the schoolkids from bullies. It peaked from 2007 to 2013. In 2013, it began to fall apart from internal issues, including a splinter group called The Musketeers, composed of 3 people, earning them the name The 3 Musketeers.
History
The Confederacy was founded in September 2005 by Dylan Emborough and 3 friends. It grew rapidly, and became dedicated to protecting the schoolyard from bullies. Its de facto capital and headquarters was known as the Backtree, which was taken over a few times by the Opposition, one of the worst enemies of the Confederacy. The Confederacy reached its peak around 2007 and was locked in the Schoolyard War almost the entire time it existed against the Opposition. At its peak it controlled approximately one acre and had a population of 10. It began to decline in 2012-2013 when a group of three seceded and formed their own group called the Musketeers, earning them the name 'the 3 Musketeers'. A common fighting ground for the Confederacy and the Opposition, with some occasional interference from the Musketeers, was a large ditch at one end of the Schoolyard. In late 2013 to early 2014, others became discontent with the way the Confederacy was being led, and it began to really decline. Dylan abandoned the Confederacy and founded the Republic of Zylandek, which would turn into the Duchy of Hodiny after a couple years.
Fate of the Confederacy's People
Dylan Emborough went on to found Zyland, which would eventually become Hodiny, in the Confederacy's dying days. Many others from the Confederacy went about their normal lives after this. One founded the ROS after being inspired by Hodiny. Two members of the Confederacy that joined Zyland would rebel against Zyland in the Springfield Revolution. News was received in 2016 that the Musketeers fell apart.
