Triumvirate period, Christian Republic and Christian Federation
Melite, at the time still called 11B, was a unitary triumvirate where the three leading people were the President of the Republic, the Premier, and the General Secretary of the Republic. After the abolishment of the triumvirate, Melite became an egostan, meaning, a one man nation, headed by a President until Melite was open to receive citizens once again. The Republic would then flourish in population, with many former citizens and Maltese[a] people rejoining Melite. Melite would also go through a process of federalisation, where the seven districts would become states of Melite.
Socialist Fgura
- See also: Socialist Fgura
Fgura is a municipality, and a Special Administrative Region of Melite, found in the east of Melite. It is headed by a Mayor. Originally part of the Maltese village of Fgura, it was part of the Melite as a town, with no special autonomy. With Julian Cassar declaring secession, the President of Melite at the time, Matthew Tonna rushed to stop it from seceding, proposing a Special Administrative Region system where the region is headed by him as Head of State and Cassar as Mayor-President. The role of President of Melite and Fgura is an ex-officio role of the President of the Democratic Christian Republic, and then Democratic Christian Federation of Melite.

Political history with respect to parties
Communist Era
This is the first ever incarnation of a Melitian Republic. It started in a secondary school in the now district of Leoni. It was a unitary triumvirate where the three leading people were the President, the Premier, and the General Secretary of the Republic. In the Communist Era, the Potato Party served as the sole legal political party of the Republic, as no other political party was registered until the dissolution of the first Republic.
Christian Republic and Federation (current)
Since the inception of the current government, the Christian Nationalist Party has always dominated the Melitian political scene, though has granted opportunities to other like-minded parties to join in coalition governments, as the case of the 2022 General Election, where the CNP, the Directionist Party and the Anarchist Party have between them 13 out of the 16 Parliamentary seats. Since the re-location of the capital and the transition from a Communist Republic to the current Second Christian Republic, Melitian popular culture has developed in a dominant party system, though that lasted only until 2022, when the Melitian Parliament was expanded to include 16 seats through the District Act of 2022,[1] which established the eight districts of Melite.
Active political parties
Currently, there is no law regulating political parties, and it is only through a Google Form produced by the Government, which an individual in Melite may start a political party through it, though again, there are only little rules on registration, and nothing more. This form is managed by the President until electoral law is codified.
