The October2022 Melitian general election was a snap election held in the Democratic Christian Federation of Melite between the 5-6 October 2022 to elect all 10 seats of the newly re-structured Parliament of Melite, now holding 10 seats instead of 16, to represent 1 MP per each administrative division of Melite, except for Xagħra Territory which is subordinated to the capital Dominica.
This election was nearly identical to the previous February election, where candidates faced no opposition to their candidacies, except that this time a ballot was held in Mustensis state where the Christian Nationalist Party (as part of the MCPA) and the Melitian People's Worker's Party faced-off for the state's seat. It was won by the Christian Nationalist Party of Melite by two votes, after the MWPP failed to attract a single vote. This is the only general election in Melitian history where only one political alliance together with a single party (which won no seats) and two independent candidates participated and the only general election to date where all independent candidates were elected to their respective seats.
