The Antarctican Empire,is a micronation in Antarctica its located at the southern hemisphere, which consists of of the Antarctican continent, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, Heard Island and McDonald Islands, Macquarie Island, Prince Edward Islands, Crozet Islands, Kerguelen Islands, Saint Paul and Amsterdam Islands, Peter I Island, Antipodes Islands, Auckland Islands, Bounty Islands, Campbell Islands, Snares Islands / Tini Heke, Bouvet Island and The islands in between that are usually considered antarctican. Antarctican Empire is a Unitary parliamentary semi-constitutional Empire in which power is shared between the Emperor and an elected Parliament. Economically the Antarctican Empire is largely Keynesian, similar to the pre Thatcherite UK, with many nationalised industry's. Although the plan is to establish the nation deeper and deeper all the way to full recognition by the international community, the aim of the Antarctican Empire's foreign policy is to establish friendly relationships with other nations as well as establishing the Antarctican Empire as an powerful international player.

Etymology

The name is pretty self explanatory, however there is a reason its called the Antarctican empire and not the Empire of Antarctica, its the Antarctican empire in the same way its the German empire and not the Empire of Germany. The "empire" comes from the title of its ruler, the Emperor. For the Etymology of Antarctica see the related page.

History

Not much is known about the history. But the idea of establishing a micronation in Antarctica has existed for a long time, in an investigation, evidence was found as early as 2013. However most of the early days were only a planing Phase.

Politics and government

As an parliamentary semi-constitutional Empire the power in the Antarctican Empire is shared between the Emperor and the Parliament. the Emperor and the Prime minister are supposed to be equal in power

Emperor

The Emperor is the head of state of the Antarctican Empire. he can declare war (and make peace), represent the Empire abroad, conclude treaties and alliances, and accredit and receive ambassadors. he can assemble and dissolve Parliament. he gets automaticity appointed Commander-in-chief of the Army, Air forces and Special forces as well as Grand admiral. he also has to appoint generals in the army and admirals in the navy. the title of Emperor is hereditary, apron the death of the previous ruling Emperor regnant the title is past to the oldest child of the imperial family or an inherit previously picked by the ruling Emperor regnant.

Prime minister

The Prime minister is the Head of government of the Antarctican Empire. he gets appointed by the ruling party of coalition of the Landtag and acts as the head of the Landtag. he can also represent the Empire abroad,

Parliament

Parliament of the Legislature of the Antarctican Empire. its comprised of two chambers the Landtag and the Landrat. Other chambers like a senate, a house of lords or a Privy Council were considerd but currently it was decided to not use these chambers. laws have to pass both chambers to be signed into effect.

Landtag

The Landtag is the first chamber of the Antarctican Empire its directly voted on by the citizens of the Antarctican Empire. the ruling party of coalition appoints the Prime minister.

Landrat

The Landrat is the second chamber of the Antarctican Empire its comprised of the different governments from the provinces of the Antarctican Empire.

Political parties

so far there weren't any elections in the Antarctican Empire so there is not much known about Political parties in the Antarctican Empire. in the anticipation to the oncoming elections party's can still be founded and apply to be electable in country wide, provincial or local elections. the foundation of political party's is not heavily regulated however a political party in the Antarctican Empire has to uphold the democratic and imperial order to be legal.

Law and order

The Antarctican Empire guarantees equality before the law. Most of the code of law is still in the works. the main court is the the State Tribunal (German: Staatsgerichtshof), death, torture and penal laibor punishments are banned in the Antarctican Empire. Most drugs including tobacco is banned in the Antarctican Empire, the age of consent in the Antarctican Empire is 18.

Military

Not much is known about the military of the Antarctican Empire, due to the fact that it doesn't want to leak critical information. Since the Antarctican Empire isn't that old it hasn't been ever in a war.

Army

The army is the branch for the land fighting forces including division types like: Motorised infantry, calvary, Artillery, and tank divisions etc. The Emperor gets automagically appointed Commander-in-chief, any generals in the army have to be approved by the Emperor.

Navy

The navy is the branch for the sea fighting forces including vessels like corvettes, frigates, destroyers, Cruiser, aircraft carriers and Battleships etc. The Emperor gets automaticity appointed Grand admiral, any admirals in the navy have to be approved by the Emperor.

Air forces

The air force branch are the forces for fighting in the air. The Emperor gets automagically appointed Commander-in-chief.

The Special forces are military forces for special military operations, The Emperor gets automagically appointed Commander-in-chief.

As a strong state the Antarctican Empire has many ministry and even more state owned industry's to serve the needs of the citizens of the Antarctican Empire.

The Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers is responsible for overseeing the government's general administration in the Antarctican Empire. It was established under the Ministry Act to manage the government's general administration.

Geography and climate

Terrain

The terrain of the antarctican mainland is mostly rugged and covert with ice. in the sub antarctican regions the landscape can be more greener.

Climate

According to the köppen climate classification the teritorys of the Antarctican Empire are in the Polar- and Tundra_climate.

Weather

So far the Antarctican Empire hasn't put out a lot information about its weather, the temperature in the Antarctican Empire ranges from -90 degrees Celsius in the winter and -40 in the summer in the southern interior over -15 degrees Celsius in the winter and +5 in the summer on th continental coast to +6 degrees celsius in the winter and +19 in the summer on the norterly subantarctic islands. Wind speeds can be quite high at the coast. Precipitation is very low especially in the inland, but it gets more at the coast and the islands.

Economy

The Economy of the Antarctican Empire largely hasn't developed yet, but the Emperor has plans to encourage the development of the flowing industry Aerospace industry, Automotive industry, Defence industry, Shipbuilding industry, Telecommunication Technology industry, Video game industry and rail vehicle manufacturing industry. also industries related to polar research will be encouraged.

Transport

There are extensive road and rail networks planed the rail network will be operated by the National rail operator Imperial Antarctican state railway.

Electric power

The electric grid in the Antarctican Empire is supposed to electrified at 230V AC at 50Hz, and will use type F and type C plug outlets. the Railways will use Overhead power with 25 0r 50 Kv AC at 50Hz.

Culture

The culture of the Antarctican Empire is very similar to other German speaking Nations, but it also shares cultural things with other atheist states, Empires, and sup-polar and polar States and it has also its very own cultural twists.

Outside of Germany, the Antarctican Empire decided against offering four different school-leaving qualifications in its education system, as it was believed this would result in children being pigeonholed too early. School uniforms are rare, and when they are used, they must first receive approval from the emperor. Education in the Antarctican Empire is free and fully funded by the state.

Spoken languages

The German language was chosen by the Emperor, who regards it as the most beautiful language—a view that remains controversial. To better preserve and protect the language from declining in use, the Antarctican Empire practices a form of language nationalism similar to Quebec's approach with the French language.

The Antarctican Empire is envisioned as a haven where artists are free to practice their craft and express themselves without restriction. However, no renowned artworks or famous artists have yet emerged from the empire.
