The A1 National Guard (Indonesian: Garda Nasional A1) is the only fighting force that operates to protect the Federated Republics of A1 from physical threates, and serves as the national army. It formed as an allocation of the physical units from the A1 Army, A1 Navy and A1 Air Force.
History
The predecessor to the A1 National Guard was the A1 Militia, which was an integral part to the Pprit Revolution. They 'fought' with Marienka Pprit as their leader through the Revolution. However, upon the completion of the Revolution, then Chairman Pprit decided to create the A1 People's Army, A1 Air Force and A1 Navy. The Navy was afterwards abolished and the Air Force then abolished and to be resurrected again.
In November 2010, the A1 People's Army was reformed once again into the A1 Army. A new structure and ranking system was created afterwards. The Red Guard was also abolished to reduce military size. Reserve personal were then grouped into the general A1 Defence Force reserves. The Pontus branch of the Army was also created.
After a Defence Force reform in January, 2012, the Pontan parts of the A1 Army were moved into the Pontus Defence Force as the Pontus Army. Those parts of the army which had been part of physical A1 forces were reorganized into the A1 National Guard. The A1NG thereby became the next unit along the lines of the A1 Militia and the A1 People's Army to serve A1. The new force also allocated forces of the A1 Navy and A1 Air Force which had also been part of real facilities.

Equipment
The A1 National Guard is equipped with non-lethal weapons, as it is not realistic at all to assume that a micronational army be involved in actual war. The equipment that the A1NG does have is of relatively high quality. This high quality means, however, that there is not enough equipment to properly mobilise more than one platoon.
Infantry
The standard infantry weapon is the WP2 (Wasserpistole), essentially water pistols. The reserves are issued with older weapons, the WP1.
Artillery
For artillery, much larger versions of the WP2 (GWP1 & GWP2) or Große Wasserpistole, are used.
Signals
The equipment used by the 1st Signals Company is the most advanced in the entire A1 Defence Force.
Multiple TX610 portable radios are used with the following specifications:
- Frequency range: 476.425 - 477.400 MHz
- Channel spacin: 25 KHz
- RF Output Power: 1 Watt
One UHF channel is used (Channel 6), with civilian frequencies used. Continuous Tone Coded Squelch System (CTCSS) is also used, to assist in security. The CTCSS used is not published for security reasons.
Land Vehicals
The Cooriengahn and Prsänëan unit have mobility units consisting of bicycle vehicles, while Cooriengah contains several more than Prsänëa.
Aircraft
The A1NG in Acacia currently has two model types in operation: the HK-09 and HK-10. The HK-10 is a model helicopter unit, which is radio controlled. The HK-09 unit is not able to be controlled, is ageing, and will most likely be replaced. Additionaly, Prsänëa has one helicopter unit and one fixed wing unit.
Facilities
The A1 National Guard operates several military facilities nationwide to manage its forces from and to store articles such as weaponry.
Fort Mulberry
Fort Mulberry is a major military instillation in the Cooriengahn city of Mulberry consisting of a heavily modified 'cubby house' with attached training area. The facility is highly fortified with the training area entirely secured and the main building having a armed balcony for gun placement. Along with the training area there is also a command center, weapons and equipment storage and a mess room.
Fort Ernest
Fort Ernest is a minor military instillation in the Cooriengah capital city of Ernest consisting of a modified shed with attached storage facilities located in the agriculture district.
Fort Berry
Fort Berry is a military training instillation located on a former farm, now a non-functioning ranch. The base is located next to the luxury Berry Hotel and includes hill and trench warfare training as well as a small range. Off road bike training is also occasionally conducted here. Most troops take part in a yearly training camp during the Autumn at the facility and others attend at other times during the year.
