2022 (MMXXII) was a common year starting on Saturday of the Gregorian calendar, the 2022st year of the anno Domini (AD) and Common Era (CE) designations, the twenty-second year of the 3rd millennium and the 21st century, and the 3rd year of the 2020s decade. It succeeds 2021, and precedes 2023, and will mark MicroWiki's seventeenth anniversary on 27 May.

- The Chair election concluded on 25 January, with Carson Snyder elected as the 7th Chair of the Cupertino Alliance, winning with 19 votes (73.1%). The turnout was 81.25%.
- The Chair election concluded on 26 July, with Larry Martin elected as the 8th Chair of the Cupertino Alliance with 9 votes (56.25%).
- Grand Unified Micronational
- Adam I, Emperor of Adammia was elected as the 34th Chair of the Grand Unified Micronational on 1 January 2022.
- Anthony Barauskis, the President of Tinland was elected as the 35th Chair of the Grand Unified Micronational on 1 July 2022.
- Jonathan I, Emperor of Austenasia was elected as the 36th Chair of the Grand Unified Micronational on 6 September 2022.
