The Seitnamic War was a short conflict in the Kolniari Sector revolving around the Duchy of Seitnam. The war began on 10 November 2022 when the Sprinske Empire, Union of the Free and the Catanese Republic invaded Seitnam following threats of a Seitnamic invasion of Pekatan or perhaps the Union of the Free.
Prelude
The Duchy of Seitnam was founded on 1 November 2022. It had bad relations with its neighbours from the start, and was the smallest country in the Kolniari Sector in terms of both land and population, so it seemed like an easy target to the Union of the Free and Mafia Republic, who’s leaders both stated that they wished to invade Seitnam at some point, but they did not plan to do so without good reason first. On 5 November 2022, the Republic of Pekatan was founded, and it had an even smaller population than Seitnam. Duke Callum I of Seitnam then began planning to invade Pekatan, but on Discord, he changed his profile picture to Seitnam’s war flag, and also changed his description to a warning that one of the Kolniari nations would soon be invaded. Following this warning, on 7 November 2022, the Kolniaric Union began discussing a possible invasion of Seitnam to keep peace within the sector. On 9 November 2022, the Republic of Pekatan’s master informed Emperor Aaron I of Sprinske that Duke Callum had stated his intentions to attack the Union of the Free. The next day, the Sprinske Empire, Mafia Republic and Union of the Free declared war on Seitnam.
Timeline
The invasion of Seitnam started at 7:50 on 10 November 2022 with a declaration of war from the Kolniaric Union’s member states. The Union of the Free was the first country to invade, pushing into the eastern territory of Seitnam with little resistance, soon followed by both the Sprinske Empire and Mafia Republic making advancements in the south and west respectively. Sprinske focused it’s efforts on taking the panhandle, but was met with the most resistance by the Seitnamic army. Due to a combination of the wind and the Seitnamic army, Emperor Aaron I fell into the bushes in the panhandle, which are also a hill, and got stuck in the bushes for about 3 minutes. Sprinske did manage to occupy the panhandle, but Seitnam attempted a push into Gorbachevgrad, before agreeing to surrender on the condition that they kept the panhandle and all of the bushes region.
The Treaty of New Tripoli ended the war on 11 November 2022 at 11:00AM, the anniversary of the end of World War 1, with the minute’s silence instead being dedicated to peace rather than Remembrance Day, as that is not celebrated in Sprinske due to the nation’s hate for the British army and due to the massacre of Bloody Sunday. In the end, Seitnam was forced to give up around half of their land, but continues to exist as an independent nation. Duke Callum I was also forced to abdicate, replaced by Duke Michael I, the current head of state, but Callum then was elected as Prime Minister of Seitnam, effectively allowing him to retain his power.
