Wellesley (WELL-is-lee; Siroccan: Vorsehl), abbreviated as WS, is a province of the Federal Commonwealth of Sirocco. Its capital is Havilland.
History
Wellesley was one of Sirocco's original founding provinces in November 2010, formed as the Auckland Suburban Region. The province's standing in the state fell as time passed, and the province was dissolved on April 20, 2011. Despite its dissolution, Wellesley still appeared on some national publications and SBC Weather maps. The province was re-formed on April 14, 2012 as Sirocco's eleventh province.
Initially based around the city of Brookfield, on July 23, 2012 the province shifted to claim new territory nearby. Initially having to use Brookfield as its de facto capital, on July 27 it was announced that Havilland had been chosen as the name for its new capital. The transition from Brookfield to Havilland will be completed on August 6, 2012 when Brookfield is scheduled to be formally dissolved.
