The Ministry of Treasury, officially The Duke's Ministry for His Treasury (Portuguese: Ministério do Duque para Seu Tesouro), sometimes referred to as Treasury Ministry, is a ministerial department of Marienbourg responsible for conducting the country's economic, fiscal and financial policy. The ministry is headed by the Minister of the Treasury, who is also traditionally referred to as Lord Treasurer, who is appointed by the Minister-President.

Responsabilities

According to government explanations, the Ministry of the Treasury is responsible for for developing and executing the duchy's economic policy, managing public finances in accordance with the national annual budget set by the Diet, administering regulatory regimes such as the national minimun wage and, through the Ducal Bank, issuing currency and managing monetary policy, in addition to managing the private accounts of government members, having a banking monopoly in Marienbourg.
