Konschjel (Bohuyis: bürgirmünster, Czech: konšjel) is a title of a member of the middle nobility in Klitzibürg. Klitzibürg's Konschjels are addressed as Grace (Geliegte). This title belongs mostly to administrative staff, such as judges, fojts, etc. It is hereditary, but if the successors of a Konschjel family wish to take up their role, they must pass a demanding examination. This title is a unique case as it is not present in other European countries. Although it is a related title to konšel, konšel is however not a title of nobility.

Etymology

This title comes from the Czech term konšel, with an added j, while konšel comes from the Latin word consul.
