Moct, less commonly knef, (Bohuyis: moct, occasionally also krof) is a title of a member of the lower nobility in Klitzibürg. From the title moct was derived the name of the Moct monarchy. The full Moct title is by the Grace of the Crown, Knight in the Army; Moctes are addressed as sire or sir (Härr). The title of moct is hereditary, but comes with the obligation to serve in the Klitzibürg Army and can be taken away if disobeyed. The title also comes with the right to own a coat of arms and administer a certain territory, but not a surname or a seat. Despite the primarily historical importance of the moct title for Klitzibürg, it has not yet been granted.
