Foreign relations of Krlesia
Foreign relations of Krlesia is a set of treaties, proclamations and and other formal/informal documents that were signed and put in a place by a department of a foreign relations in Krlesia. Since Krlesia's foundation is based on a merge of two former micronations, many of the treaties that are still in place were inherited from them (mostly from Rednecks Republic).
Main political figure of a Krlesian diplomacy is Jan Šťastný.
Organisations
Krlesia is currently a full member of two micronational organisations, that is UMCE and GUM in whom were accepted at the time of Rednecks Republic. Krlesia has also participated in the MOF games and was a member ever since. Krlesia also chaired and founded the MSVHS, an organisation focused on development and economical cooperation between micronations in the Czech sector.
Logo | Organisation | Status | Accepted in | Primary delegate |
---|---|---|---|---|
Grand Unified Micronational | Full membership | 25 January 2022 (31 August 2020) | Jan Šťastný | |
Union of Micronations of Central Europe | Full membership | 19 September 2021 (1 January 2020) | Jan Šťastný |
UMCE
Krlesia is the full member of UMCE since 19 September 2021. However Rednecks Republic (which was succeeded by Krlesia) was accepted into the UMCE on 10 July 2019 as an observer (together with Klitzibürg) and on 1 January had officially taken its place as a full member. Jan Šťastný (delegate of the Rednecks Republic) was ambitious about seeking a chairmanship in the organisation. He attempted to compete in the elections of 2020, 2021,2022 and 2023 and failed every time to achieve a victory in the election. But during the crisis of the 2022 in the structures of the UMCE, he was named a vice-chair and then a chair of the organisation (from 25 June 2022 till February 2023). He failed to be re-elected, partly due to conflict with Sendersia, and partly with a split of votes.
During his chairmanship, Jan Šťastný was keen on restructuralization of the organisation and expanding its influence into other spheres of potential engagement. Under him, the "Charter of Security" was adopted and new way of expanding legislative resources via treaties was adopted. UMCE as a supervisor of the whole Czech sector was on a table, but it failed to materialise. Now Krlesia is a standard member and in 2024 for the first time did not participate in the election.
GUM
Krlesia is the full member of GUM since 25 January 2022, same as with UMCE, the Rednecks Republic was a member of GUM prior as well and was accepted as a full member on 31 August 2020. During its first months in the GUM, Rednecks Republic was trying to participate as much as possible, since its priority was establishing a new relations with micronations abroad and expanding its status. And GUM was a useful tool for the Rednecks Republic to achieve that and sign many new bilateral treaties (Hawthorne, Essexia or Aenopia). As the time progressed, most of the initiatives fell into inactivity by it. It had vocally supported the Anthony Clark's campaign for the Chair in the June 2021 Grand Unified Micronational election and on 25 January, Rednecks Republic was officially replaced by Krlesia in the GUM.
In the early 2024, activity of Krlesia (together with internal activity) was restored and Jan Šťastný even became a part of a Reform Committee. In the September 2024 Grand Unified Micronational election, Krlesia was a vocal supporter of Pio Lowe.
