The 2020 House Hold local elections took place on 3 October 2020 in incorporated towns and cities in the Kingdom of House Hold. 12 mayors were elected. At the election a total of 68 councillors were elected. The local elections saw Labor fall 16.9% after their big gains in 2019. They party lost control of Bunn, Dining, T.V., Bed, and Sleep. However the party gained control of Box and Glass. The elections saw Bolderash, a mostly rural party gain mayoralties in the four biggest cities, Bunn, Living, Play, and T.V.

Voters

Any citizen who had lived in House Hold for more than two weeks can vote. People with more than 1 house could vote if they were in different councils.

Background

The election was held just weeks after Labor's big general election victory. However fighting in the part hurt them in the local elections.

Change of Election Date

The election was originally set for 31 August 2020 however due do several by-election and the federal election this date was changed for 3 October 2020.

Redistribution

The House Hold Electoral Commission is required 10 weeks after the first sitting day for the last local council to determine how many local government seats each Local Government Area should get.
