The March 2021 local elections were held on 6 March 2021 to elect 50 of House Hold's 92 Local Councillors and all 56 town councils. These elections were held just under two months before the 2021 House Hold federal election. Most election analysts and poll suggest that the Coalition would become the largest in local government and will win around 13 and 18 seats, despite the fact that only 50 of the 92 seats are up for election Labor was very unlikely remain the largest party overall. Labor had one more seat with 26 seats to the Coalition's 25. Three new national parties will be contested these elections. The Southerners Party is a regionalist party that advocates for the southern parts of House Hold. The Progressive Green Party is a small party the split of from the Green Party and Progressive Party. The Outdoors Party is a small party wants to protect the environment and make House Hold "Sustainable". Voting system

This will be the first time any election in House Hold is run using the D'Hondt method with an open list. All 50 local councillors will be elected using this system in 12 councils. In three seat councils a party will need about 25% for a seat, in a four seat councils 20%, and so on. However party can be elected with much lower shares if many parties are contesting a council.

Voters could choose between voting for a candidate, or voting for a political party. The votes for parties are given among the candidates for that party. This can be done in according to their personal votes, or by giving them to candidates in list order.

For a new party to become eligible to participate in the election, they must be supported by a number of voters equal to 25.0% of all valid votes cast in the last election. If a council has more that 5 people one new voter is need for every 1/3 vote. Staring in 2022 this will be the system for parties to contest general elections as well.

All people living in House Hold for 2+ weeks can vote.

The total number of eligible voters at the 2021 election will likely be 222.

26–30 9–12 5.0%
31–40 12–14 5.0%
>41 +1 for every 4 inhabitants and round if it is a decimal 5.0%
