The Minister of Membership Attainment is the head of the Ministry of Membership Attainment, responsible for managing membership attainment and applications within the Cupertino Alliance.

History

Plans and procedures for membership attainment were first devised on the 1st session of the Cupertino Alliance.[1][2] Prior to the creation of the ministry, this was solely governed by the Chair of the Board.

Before the creation of the position, the Division of Membership Attainment was proposed during the 5th Session, and unanimously passed. The aim of the Division was to focus on granting membership to new applicants.[3][4]

The position was first proposed during the 69 Hour Session under the Ministers Act. The act was passed on 17 March around the conclusion of the session.[5][6] The first minister appointed was William Efton, a former chairman of the alliance.

In August, the powers held by the ministry were expanded, permitting powers to warn and propose expulsion of member states.[7]

Appointed by Jayden Lycon on 22 March. Due to the impending departure of Aenderia following the fallout of the 69 Hour Session,[8] the Cupertino parliament voted to appoint a replacement minister should Efton no longer serve a delegation.[9] As a result, Aenderia extended their withdrawal process, and an agreement was eventually reached keeping Aenderia in the alliance.[10][11]
Efton oversaw the implementation of several pieces of legislation related to the ministry, such as the Brisbane Program, the Membership Attainment Act and the expansion of powers held by his office.[12][13][7]
