Land of a Glorious People

Land of a Glorious People was the official anthem of Timonoucitiland from 4 November 2021 to 1 September 2023. It was heavily disliked for being too calm and too badly composed, and the army march was used for most affairs rather than this anthem while composed. On 1 September 2023, it was replaced by Land of the Brave Men with rewritten lyrics.

it will soon be replaced by Blood and Truth in September 2023.

Lyrics

With our great land

We shall respect

It's the powerful great Timonoucitiland!

Oh hail this land of a glorious people.

And may it reign forever!

May the gods keep an eye on us and help us!

And may it reign forever!

It's the powerful Timonoucitiland!

Timonoucitiland!

History

Old Version

In early 2021, Emperor Eshaan I devised a new anthem for Timonoucitiland (then the Timonoucite Empire). The original revision was created on an old Windows XP computer and based off of Beethoven's 9th Symphony Scherzo, which was included in Windows XP's sample music. Shortly after, the song was compressed and fit onto a floppy disk, along with a notepad file containing the lyrics and timing. This new anthem was to replace the older anthem Land of the Brave Men because it was a remnant of the SEnteral Excitement communist era and was based off of the instrumental of the North Korean anthem.

Updated Version

From late October to early November 2021, Eshaan I updated the instrumental to be made by himself. Instead of making the lyrics based off of an already-made instrumental, the emperor decided to use Flat.io to compose an original instrumental and new lyrics. However, the name remains unchanged.

Instrumental

The instrumental version of the anthem includes:

  • a grand piano
  • a drum set
  • a finger snap
  • 2 flutes
  • an oboe
  • 2 clarinets
  • an alto saxophone
  • a contrabass or viola (varies between performances)
  • a harp
