Atyko Robijovych (also spelt Robijovyč; Ukrainian: А́тіко Робíйович), commonly known as simply Atyko, is a Canadian micronationalist who served as Prime Minister of Suverska from 2014 to 2018 and President of Suverska from 2018 to 2021. A key figure in the Western Canada sector and one of the key leaders of Suverska’s independence in 2013, Robijovych was leader of the Liberal-Socialists since its founding in 2014.
Robijovch’s political career began with the founding of Suverska, then the Republic of East Butte, in late 2013, of which he was a part. Upon the nation’s declaration of independence as the Republic of Suwerenny in 2014, Robijovych was elected as a Member of Parliament and led the Suwerenny Party (later the Liberal-Socialists) to an electoral victory, becoming Prime Minister. He would continue to serve as Prime Minister until 2018, when he became president, and Member of Parliament until 2019.
Robijovych was elected the second President of Suverska in October 2018 and, amidst sliding popular support for his government, oversaw the nation’s transitional period from a federal parliamentary republic to a unitary semi-direct democracy as a member of the Transitional Council from 2019 to 2021. At the end of this transitional period, the presidency was abolished in favour of an elected five-member National Council, over which Robijovych provided while serving as Minister of Foreign Affairs.
On 23 February 2022, Robijovych stepped down from his role as National Council member and Holova on the occurrence of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, initiating the total resignation of the Government of Suverska on the next day. Robijovych has generally remained out of the micronational public scene since the Suverian dissolution.
Early life
Robijovych was born in 2003 in Canada. He was baptised an Orthodox Christian.

Robijovych was one of the founders of Suverska in late 2013. In 2014, he became the leader of the Liberal-Socialists (then called the Suwerenny Party). Throughout his leadership, Robijovych led the party to two consecutive parliamentary majority victories in 2014 and 2016. Following a worse result in 2018 (though the party still won a plurality of the seats), Robijovych led the party during its minority government period.
During its entire existence from 2013 to 2019, Robijovych served as a member of the Suverian parliament including as a local representative (for East Butte from 2014 to 2016 and Paskrai for 2016 to 2018) and as a holder of an overhang seat from 2018 to 2019. As a member of parliament, he advocated for environmental policy, expansionism, and social equality in Suverska. In 2014, Robijovych oversaw Suverska’s communications with various foreign nations, including Kevin Baugh of the Republic of Molossia.
Robijovych made official trips as Prime Minister to the United States in 2014 and to Canada in 2015 and 2017.

Following the end of John of Flosia’s time as President of Suverska, Robijovych successfully ran for president in September 2018, defeating Trentij of Meteora in the second round of the election. On October 1, he entered office with a Liberal-Socialist minority government in parliament, which was elected the past May and faced significant opposition from the Prairie Party and Canada Party.[1]
Challenge from these opposition parties contributed to the governments’s inertia during the following months and was reflected in the results of the 2019 national referendums, in which the nation voted in favour of government reforms and increased autonomy in Meteora. Within weeks, parliament was dissolved in favour of a temporary government. Robijovych was elected to this Transitional Council along with four other nonpartisan members who were to lead the country through a two-year transition period and draft a new constitution.[1]
As president and Transitional Council member during 2020, Robijovych was a key figure in Suverska’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and its expanding foreign affairs. He served as liaison between Suverska and the Union of Leftist States and expanded relations between Suverska and the Unified Royal States of Australis, the Central Tibetan Administration, and the Dominion of Vancouver Island, among others.[1]
Robijovych made official trips as President to Canada in 2019 and was scheduled to make an official trip to the United Kingdom and the European Union in 2020 that was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In accordance with the direction of the Transitional Council, the office of president was abolished exactly two years following the referendums, ending Robijovych’s presidency on May 3, 2021.[1] The 2021 Constitution of Suverska went into effect on that day, and the first elections to the National Council of Suverska took place on June 25, 2021. In April 2021, Robijovych announced his candidacy in these elections for the National Council. He was in his campaign and served as the member in charge of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs beginning that month.[2]
Beyond his presidency, Robijovch continued to lead Suverska throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, having isolated following potential exposure to it at times. During the pandemic, Suverska did not implement any vaccine mandate or vaccine passport policies, though it did enact mask mandates, health recommendations, and national and regional lockdowns under leadership that included Robijovch.[2]
Robijovych made an official trip to Canada as Minister of Foreign Affairs in 2021.
In February 2022, Robijovych stepped down from his role as National Council member and Holova on the occurrence of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. This initiated the end of the Government of Suverska on the next day, as it resigned on 24 February 2022 in “an act of solidarity with Ukrainians worldwide.” Suverska rescinded its claims to sovereignty, and, as a result, claim and control of its possessions returned to Canada.[2]
Robijovych has remained out of the micronational public scene since the Suverian dissolution.

During his time as a politically active Suverian, Robijovych self-identified as a libertarian socialist and environmentalist and was supportive of socially progressive and environmentally-minded policies—he was often described as one of the furthest left-wing members of the Suverian government.[2] Economically, he has noted his support for co-operatives and decentralisation, as well as his opposition to capitalism, imperialism, and copyright law.
Robijovych was member of the Liberal-Socialist in Suverska and its only leader.
In foreign politics, Robijovych voiced his support for Bernie Sanders’ 2016 and 2020 United States presidential campaigns.
During the transitional period and the writing of the 2021 Constitution of Suverska, Robijovych vouched for the creation of an easier pathway to Suverskan citizenship for people with Indigenous ancestry on the lands claimed by Suverska, which went on to be added to the Constitution.
In early 2022, Robijovych expressed his support for Canadian communalism, noting its decentralised, environmental, and local values.
On the spectrum of classical micropatriology, Robijovych has been described as a soft secessionist.
Personal life
Robijovych lived in various communities in the Suverian region of Agionoros, including East Butte, Novchakho, Paskrai, and Veskrai.
In December 2021, Robijovych began to work at the The Northwest Sky, a newly founded Suverian publishing company.[2] The company has since shut down.
In 2023, Robijovych enrolled at the Imperial University of Austenasia.[3]
