The Social Democratic Party, also known as Sosial Demokrat (The Social Democrats), was a major governing political party in the Democratic Republic of Sunda Raya. It formed New Hope Coalition with other smaller parties that refused to merge with the PKP. The Social Democrats was then the second largest political party in Sunda Raya with up to 3 members and cadres.

History

The Social Democratic Party was founded on 1 February 2016 during national congress of the Partai Demokrasi Sosialisme - Perjuangan (PDS - Struggle). The congress agreed to merge the PDS - Struggle with other reformist parties in the United People's Front which refused to merge with the PKP. As a result, a new reformist party founded. The founding of the Social Democratic Party was a part of the "New Way" politics in Sunda Raya
