The Federal Ministry of Justice (German: Bundesministerium der Justiz or colloquially, Justizministerium) is the cabinet-level ministry responsible for the judicial branch of the Atovian national government.
The ministry was established at the foundation of the Kingdom on 5 May 2017. The incumbent minister is Thomas Bainbridge, who took office on 26 September 2019.
Responsibilities
Some of the responsibilities of the attorney general are:
- To represent the Kingdom in legal matters.
- To supervise and direct the administration and operation of the offices, boards, divisions, and bureaus that comprise the Department.
- To furnish advice and opinions, formal and informal, on legal matters to the heads of state and the Cabinet.
- To represent or supervise the representation of the Atovian Government in the Supreme Court of Atovia and all other courts, foreign and domestic, in which the Kingdom is a party or has an interest as may be deemed appropriate.
