The Græcian Football Championship (Hellenic: Γραικικὸν Πρωτάθλημα Ποδοσφαίρου Ğrekikòn Prōtáþlīma Poðosféru, Neoclassical Latin: CAMPIONĀTVM PEDILV̄DĪ GRÆCIÆ, South Ruthenian: Ноґобаллско Магістърство Грѣкійъі Nogoballsko Maħistěrstvo Ħrækijî) is the 1st-tier amateur association football league in Græcia, formed in 2020. It consists of 16 teams and runs from October to April, with teams playing 26 games each, followed by a 10-game play-off to decide the champions.
Although the inaugural season of the championship was set to start in 2020, due to the global SARS-CoV-2 pandemic that affects every borough of Græcia, it was postponed indefinitely.
Logo
The logo was inspired by the one used by the top-tier association football league competition of Hellas, Alpha Ethniki, until its dissolution in 2006, when the Super League was founded.
The championship is the 1st-tier competition, featuring neither a domestic cup, nor league cup. Relegation to the 2nd-tier tournament and promotion from it are not conducted, due to the special status of the teams competing in the Challenge League. By the end of the season, on 1 June, the champions and the runners-up play an one-leg match, in lieu of a traditional super cup. The "Græcian Football Super Cup" winners are granted a 3-point advantage for the following season.
Since the athletes and the clubs are amateur, there will be no televised live coverage; the only possibility will be for the Sports Administration to conduct on-line live coverage of the match events.
