Galwegian nationalism is an ideology created by Thomas Jacobs which believes that County Galway and Galway City are different to the rest of Ireland, and as such should be independent of Ireland. The ideology’s main advocate is Thomas Jacobs, though others are known to fit the definition of the ideology. The ideology is also big tent, as it believes all Galwegians, irrespective of beliefs, should unite behind the movement. Galwegian Socialism is a branch of Galwegian nationalism. The Galway Liberation Army is a largely Galwegian nationalist paramilitary.
