The Confederation of Nova Tromsø, colloquially known as Nova Tromsø[c][d], is a self proclaimed sovereign state - known as a micronation to external observers - based mostly in the County of South Yorkshire. It mainly controls households in the nearby suburb where the Chief Representative resides, with the overseas province of Johanneste being located in Chicago. The capital, New Narvik, is located towards the Center of the main territories.
Etymology
The name “Nova Tromsø” stems from the Scandinavian influence on the nation. Nova means New, whilst Tromsø is the name of a Norwegian town - which is the nation that (along with Denmark, which controlled parts of Norway) conquered the north of England.
History
Nova Tromsø originally started out as the Republic of Hexthorpe, an idea of the current President. It soon transitioned to the Kingdom of New Hexthorpe, then to Centralia. It claimed land under macronational jurisdiction, such as Canadian Arctic Islands and forts in the British Exclusive Economic Zone. These claims were dropped at the end of Centralia’s existence. Centralia was plagued with inactivity and decline. A declaration of a new state (which became Nova Tromsø) brought more democracy to the nation.[1]
Nova Tromsø ratified the Wrythe and Edgbaston conventions in late November of 2020, as to appeal to the world as a nation of protection and integrity.
In February 2021, attempts were made to lift the nation out of inactivity - which proved to be a failure. Not long after these attempts in later 2021, Nova Tromsø saw its dissolution by the incumbent Konstantínos.
Government and Politics
Nova Tromsø is made up of a Senate, bringing in senators from actual territories or on the national Discord server.
There are seats in the Senate for each territory in the Confederation, which send one representative to the physical place. On the Discord, there are 12 seats in the Senate. This is prone to expansion however.

Culture
Novtromsan culture is that of a Dano-Norwegian one, as the purpose of the state is to reunite with Scandinavia, but to a lesser extent. Nova Tromsø adopted the Danish anthem as a result. The lyrics have been edited to reflect Novtromsan themes.
