The Ville de l'ombre is the capital of and subdivision of the Kingsland, part of the Kingdom of Northwood-Oregon. It is one of four subdivisions in the Kingsland, and is the smallest of the four. It was established, alongside the other divisions, on 2 April 2021. It is the home of the Kingsland Palace.
Etymology
Ville de l'ombre (French for "City of Shadow") derives its name from a nearby street that contains shadow in it's name.

The Ville de l'ombre has been twinned with it's twin towns since 30 June 2021, with it's participation in the Twin Towns program hosted by the Cupertino Alliance.
Wildlife
The Ville de l'ombre is not home to much naturally occurring wildlife, though small amphibians and mammals, as well as coyotes, have been seen in the area.
Ville de l'ombre Toad
The Ville de l'ombre Toad is an American toad which resides on the grounds of the Kingsland Palace within the Ville de l'ombre. It has been known to burrow into the mulch on the grounds of the property during the day. It was known to exist by the father of Sovereign Carson Snyder, Richard I, for an unknown amount of time before the Sovereign was made aware of it on 15 June 2021. It was last seen on the grounds on 6 July.
