The Duchy of Altissia is a member state of the Kingdom of Northwood-Oregon. It was founded on 12 October 2020 by its Duchess Kaitlyn Huber and is located in Nortwood, Ohio. It was founded on the same day as the Duchy of Primeria and is an absolute monarchy under Duchess Kaitlyn.
Entymology
The Duchy of Altissia's name was one of two names proposed by Duchess Kaitlyn, the other being Riften. The choice was eventually left up to Carson Snyder who choose Altissia.
History
Foundation
The Duchy of Altissia was founded on 12 October 2020 by Duchess Kaitlyn after being invited to do so by Carson Snyder.
Regency
On 18 August 2021, the Duchy of Altissia entered a regency after Duchess Kaitlyn Huber formally placed her sister, Jocelyn Huber, in her stead as a Duchess of Altissia and member of the Royal Deluge. Jocelyn Huber was granted the title Duchess-Regent by Kaitlyn for the duration of her leave.
