The Petorian Dollar is the official currency used in the Republic of Petorio. The idea of a Petorian dollar separate from American currency was first put forth by President Kalvin Koolidge in late 2008. One Petorian dollar is worth 25 American cents. The very first bank notes were basic designs made with MS Paint in December 2008. These notes were used until May 2010, when the new designs were released. The bank notes of the Petorian Dollar were redesigned for counterfeiting concerns. It was announced on March 13, 2009, that coins were to be minted as tokens by Hoffman Mint, though as of mid 2010 no coins have been minted.
