The Grand Senate of the Republic of Rino Island is the parlament of Rino Island, as established in the current Constitution of Rino Island. It was established in 2010, under the government of Vittorio Rino.
According to the present Constitution of Rino Island, the Great Senate is composed of ten senators. Eight are chosen by universal popular suffrage vote in the three provinces of the country. These serve one-year terms, with all of them being replaced every year. They must be eligible to vote, and they must also meet the other requirements established by law. Another senator is appointed directly by the President of the Republic. The last senator is the president of the National Trade Union, with full rights.
The President of the Republic also has the right to participate with a casting vote in the sessions, resolving ties. Ministers and other authorities can be invited, with the right to speak.
Currently all senators belong to the Rinoislandic National Unity Party.
