The National Academy of Rino Island is an educational and cultural institution of the Republic of Rino Island. It was founded in 2010, under the government of Vittorio Rino. The Academy has been chaired since its foundation by Anastasio López. It is regulated by article XXIV of the Rino Island Constitution.
He is currently the leader of literary and intellectual development in Spanish-speaking micronationalism. He has edited several books, articles, and publishes a magazine "MICRONACIONALISMO" periodically.
Currently the National Academy has two different sections. On the one hand the Magazine "Micronacionalismo", and on the other hand the Rino Island Institute Of Reseach. Both depend on the Ministry of Welfare.
The National Academy of Rino Island convened the year 2020 for all interested parties to submit articles on micronationalism. However, the initiative was of great interest, which allowed fourteen essays to be received in just two weeks, both in Spanish and Portuguese.
That is why the National Academy has decided to found the Micronacionalismo Magazine, a periodic and online publication for cultural dissemination, which brings together articles of interest for the study of micronations and micronationalism in its multiple dimensions, both in Spanish and Portuguese. .
Since its foundation, the magazine seeks political and ideological independence in its editorial line, so that it can collect the different variants of micronationalism that exist in Latin America. The magazine receives, selects, publishes and offers the possibility to read and publish articles on micronations and micronationalism. Within this line, there are studies of the widest range, from political philosophy to history and culture itself, always related to micronationalism.
The first edition featured articles by prominent micronationalists, such as Oscar I.
