Flags
The national flag has a 4:3 ratio, with a teal background and a circle in the middle, superimposed on 2 diagonal stripes. The circle represents the isles, and their unity, and the teal represents the pond in which they are located. The Stripes are for the two territories of the nation, the Skokholm Isles and the Baffin Isles.

Territories
The nation previously had its main lands at the Lagoan Isles in the Baffins area of Portsmouth, near Fratton. On the 22nd of April, 2020, Prime Secretary Lawrence Martin claimed the Smalls, Bishops and Skokholm, the two former of which are groups of islands off of the south west coast of Wales. Martin did not include the lighthouses on the islands in his claim. It also has small pockets of land in West Molesey and Camberley in Surrey, where the founders' back gardens are. On 29 September 2020, Martin claimed the unhabited islands of Lítla Dímun, internally referred to as Fwrau Dŷmwn, and the Blasket Islands, referred to as the Eŷre Isles. Ball's Pyramid, an uninhabitable stack in the Pacific was also claimed, referred to internally as Bŵl.
LGBT Rights
The founder of the DRSBI, Lawrence Martin, is a member of the LGBT+ community, and as a result of such, the Republic has always had pro-LGBT rights legislation.

The DRSBI is a direct democracy, originally with a first-past-the-post voting system, but this was changed with an alternative voting system from the 1 October 2020 Election.
The DRSBI is a member state of the League of Independent Nations.
The former leader of the country was Prime Executive and Founder of the nation, Lawrence Martin. The deputy leader was Jerry Qian, who was also in charge of the national bank and treasury, the Banqænau Bwffyn.
On the 2nd election of 2020, the Baffin Republic Independence Party won the election by 2 points, narrowly beating the Liberal Party.
From the 8th of October 2020 until the 6th of November of the same year, , Rohan McCauley was the leader of the DRSBI, his deputy leader was Silas Gordon, former the chairman of the Liberal Party. He was relieved of his position at 1:45PM of that day as he refused to go into court for the hearing of the National Judge (see below). From then until 1:59PM, Silas Gordon of the BRIP was the leader of the nation, however the BRIP was dissolved after Silas left, leading to an uncontested snap election, causing the Liberal Party to win by default.
On November 5, 2020, Matthew Turner, the National Judge, was accused of public misinformation, and told to go to trial the next day. A non-biased, non-affiliated judge was chosen, and the jury was also non-affiliated. Rohan McCauley, who refused to punish him, was also told to go to court, however he failed to appear in court before the final ruling. This caused him to be immediately relieved of his position as leader. The case was thrown out due to a lack of non-circumstantial evidence. Rohan McCauley and Matthew Turner have both since left the nation.
On 12 October 2020, a poll was held concerning the members of the nation's views on the Socialist States of Tinakula. This was mainly due to concerns surrounding its' current leader, Afra J's, past connections to The Baffin RAJ which had previously been a group committed to claiming the entire Baffin Republic. Interpreted by the Socialist States of Tinakula as a hostile threat, relations quickly dissolved and ties were cut by Afra J on the 13th of October, 2020.
Following this, it was decided that citizens that were in both the Baffin Republic and the Socialist States of Tinakula should have certain rights revoked, like the right to vote, and members of the Socialist States of Tinakula would have to apply for citizenship in order to gain these back.
