Witoldia (Witoldian: , pronounced [ksihela viti], Romanowitika: Cixela Witi. Ukrainian: Вітольдія, Vitoldiya. Russian: Фесалион, Fesalion), officially the Witoldian empire (Ukrainian: Вітольдовська імперія. Russian: Витольдовская империя) is an Ukranian micronation located on part of the territories of the Dnipropetrovsk (Novokaydatsky, Chechelovsky and Soborny districts of the Dnipro city) and Kherson (Genichesk city, villages of Genicheska Gorka, Priozerne and Schastlivtseve) regions of Ukraine.

The capital is the city of Palmyr. The official language is the Witoldian language with the Latin alphabet (Romanowitika). Ukrainian is one of the working languages in the country.

The history of Witoldia dates back to September 2011, when the First Kingdom was founded. In this form, the state existed until the political crisis of 2014, after which it went into stagnation. Activity revived again at the end of 2015, but after an unsuccessful coup attempt in November 2017, it again went into a long stagnation, and, de facto, left the micronational platform for a long time, although de jure the state was not abolished. An unsuccessful attempt to revive statehood was made in February 2020.

In May 2020, after the revolution, Orange-Yushchenkists came to power in the former Witoldian lands, who began to build an "orange state". However, in June 2020, movements for the restoration of the lost Witold statehood became strong. A revival committee was created, which on June 18, 2020, proclaimed the restoration of the Witold state of Witoldia, and continued the course of uniting the remaining lost Witoldian lands.

On 23 May 2024, against the backdrop of general instability in the micronational community, Witoldia was proclaimed an empire. He also proclaimed the creation of the Empire of the Wagr Succession, to which the country is still a part of the confederation.

The state is a co-founder and full member of the League of Independent States, OEM, Nansen Commonwealth associate member of the Baltic and Greek micronational unions. Until January 1, 2022, he entered the OBSM. Exacerbations are underway to join Western micronational organizations.

Etymology

The WitoldIan citizens call their country “Witi”.

In Russian, the old name - "Witoldia" comes from the name of the first king and father of the Witoldian people - Vitold Chaban. This name was used actively during the period 1st, 2nd kingdoms and the Order.

In 2018 - 2019, although the Witoldians did not have their own state, because Witoldian culture in those years developed in the world of Ho, there were proposals to change the name for the state in Russian. And with the creation and development of a new Witoldian language during this period, which was no longer similar to Slavic, the issue became more solvable.

The new name in Russian "Fesalion" comes from Witoldian word "Θesali" and its derivatives, and is translated as "homeland". This name was introduced and became actively promoted on March 25, 2019. Remarkable is the fact that when the name of the state was changed, its inhabitants remained "Witoldians". It was decided not to change the ethnic-buried local residents. Likewise, the name "Fesalion" is used only in Russian. In conventional Ukrainian and English, they still speak "Вітольдія" and "Witoldia".

History

Proto-witoldian state (2008 - 2011)

There are legends about the states that existed in the period from 2008 to 2010 on the territory of the present Witoldia, which are the ancestors of the very first authentically known Witoldian state, created in 2011. How many states were, what were they called and whether they were at all - is unknown. There is really no evidence base for their existence

1st Witoldian kingdom (2011 - 2014)

1sr kingdom was established at the end of September 2011. The city of De-Mur was declared the capital. The first kingdom consisted of several constituent parts - the backbone was almost the entire historical part of the city of Dnipropetrovsk. Its western borders ran along Kievskaya Street and Petrovsky Avenue, up to the Dnipro; Eastern - along the embankment of Victory; southern ones - along Krivorozhskaya Street, Gagarin Avenue; northern - along the Embankment. Lenin and Zavodskaya Embankment. The kingdom also included the Green Island on the Dnipro River. The second component was located on the left bank of the Dnipro, along the Poltava highway. It occupied the area of two small summer cottages.

The first Witoldian kingdom, in the period from 2011 to 2013, did not have a clear administrative division at all. The largest cities were the Besed-les-Ophès, Kontsetral, Dashkent and the capital city De-Mur.

In political terms, the state represented, at first, an absolute monarchy. The king was Witold I, the royal adviser, who was named as the king's minister, was Maxim Fadeev. The position of heir and regent was held by Artyom Malets.

School revolution (2012)

Political crisis in 2014

The first internal split in the state occurred in January 2014, due to personal differences between the king and Minister Fadeev. Personal and political enmity between Witold I and Fadeev peaked in June 2014. Fadeev was removed from office and left politics, finally falling out with the king. But still, many who remained in the country's politics did not like the stagnation that continued throughout the summer. No reforms or a change of government were foreseen. The state apparatus began to crumble, and at the end of August 2014, the first kingdom was abolished.

2nd Witoldian kingdom (2015 - 2017)

The revival of the Witoldian kingdom, which went down in history as the 2nd kingdom, took place on December 14, 2015. This time, the path was taken to a constitutional monarchy. Witold, I became king again. A council was created, an analogue of the cabinet of ministers, and a state parliament, where elections were held once in some time. The first elections were held there on December 30, 2015, the second on September 2, 2016. Having been in isolation for a long time, the Witoldian Kingdom came to the Russian-speaking micronation in the fall of 2016, having started the "VKontakte" group. The first agreement of mutual recognition was concluded with Hezaniah.

On December 1, 2016, King Vitold I temporarily resigned. Until December 15, the country was ruled by his brother, Arseny I. His reign was distinguished by the participation of the Witold kingdom in the conflict with Catland. As a result of the war, a part of the country was withdrawn. At the end of December 2016, the first stamps, banknotes and a passport were produced.

Witoldian Order (2017)

On April 8 or 9, 2017, the state officially became known as the "Witoldian Order". In terms of administrative division, the state became more precise - the state was divided into states and autonomous republics. As of May 2017, the Witoldian Orded included 9 states and 1 autonomous republic.

The states were quite independent and feudal. The autonomous republics had much more rights. In April 2017, various titles of nobility were introduced for citizens, which were awarded personally by the king for special merits. At about the same time, new stamps, passports were produced and two medals were introduced - "the Order of Saint Richelieu" and the "Order of Merit to Witoldia."

On May 10, 2017, the Autonomous Republic of Krasnopolye and the state of Milovodnia were included in the Order. This was the first expansion of the state at the time of its existence in the history of Witoldia.

May Ctisis

At the end of May 2017, an acute political crisis began. The country began to stagnate and outflow of citizens and civil servants.

November crisis

An attempt to establish a communist regime in the Witoldian Order was unsuccessful. Although the king himself was in the actual coup, and even its initiator, the citizens did not approve of this idea. On November 11, 2017, a rather peaceful transfer of power took place, the Witold Socialist Republic was proclaimed and elections to the new parliament were announced. However, the elections did not take place, the newly created republic lasted, in fact, a couple of hours. King Vitold I moved away from micronational politics for a long time. The country fell into decline and disappeared.

Ruin (2017 - 2020)

Varfonia

Orange republic (may - june 2020)

Orange Revolution and formation of the Orange Republic

As a result of the events of the Orange Revolution on May 23, 2020, the Oranzhevists-Yushchenkists came to power in the failed Varfonia. Their leader was Vitold Chaban, and all members of the Organizing Committee of Varfonia, including such veterans of Witoldian politics as Alexander Klim and Artyom Malets, went over to the "orange" ones. At the 1st congress of Oranzhevists in Palmir, on May 24, at which the Organizing Committee of Varfonia and Barthonia itself were liquidated, the Orange Republic was proclaimed. A wave of changes immediately swept through the country - first of all, some cities were renamed in the "orange" manner. So, Palmir became Yushchev. The Orange Republic included lands that had never previously been part of any of the Vitold kingdoms - Diyovka, Sukhachevka and Taromskoe, and a small part of the Arabat Spit, including the city of Genichesk, was also attached.

The 3rd Congress of Oranzhevists in Yushchev adopted the "11 points of Oranzhivism", which more clearly characterized the Orange ideology. A course for a worldwide orange revolution was proclaimed. However, the further into the forest, the darker. Further plans to ignite this revolution were never made and were vague. The Orange Congress could not reach a consensus on this issue. And in the country, movements to restore Witoldian statehood became strong.

Politics of the Orange Republic

In terms of politics, the Orange Republic was a hetmanate. At the head of the state was the Hetman of the Orange Republic, who had full power. The hetman appointed the ataman-minister, who headed the cabinet of the Orange Republic, where he himself appointed, and the ministers appointed by him. An advisory parliament that played little role was the General Rada of the Orange Republic. It was elected only once, and after 6 days it was dissolved. The organization of the work of all authorities was described in the Constitution, which was adopted on June 12, 2020.

Witoldia Revival Committee

The Witoldia Revival Committee was created on the basis of the early convocation of the General Rada of the Orange Republic, which was dissolved in the afternoon. The composition includes all the deputies of the Rada, and members of the Cabinet of the Orange Republic. On June 18, the Renaissance Committee, seeing no further prospects for the existence of the Orange Republic, proclaimed its abolition, and the proclamation of the Republic of Witoldia.

The Renaissance Committee continued to act as the parliament of the newly formed state. On June 19, Vitold Chaban was elected president of the new state. Smaller committees were created within the committee, which was responsible for their sector of the restoration of Witold's statehood. On June 21, a split occurred within the committee between the monarchists, led by Klim, and the republicans. As a result of the past agreements, Alexander Klim and his pawns left Witoldian politics.

At the end of June, the revival committee was abolished and replaced by Fodes, the new Witoldian parliament. The first convocation lasted a short amount of time - due to the division of the convocation into two conversations (one on VKontakte, the other on Viber), some discomfort was created in his work. The senators of Fodes from Viber refused to switch to the VK platform, as they did not like this social network. After the next agreements, all senators of the 1st convocation from the Viber conversation unanimously resigned. At the end of June, elections were held for the second convocation, which was already fully based on VKontakte, and is still working to this day.

The Witoldian Constitution was adopted on June 21, 2020.

Unification of Witoldian lands

After the proclamation of Witoldia, the new government lost control over some of the lands of the former Orange Republic. Initially, the committee wanted to split off the lands annexed only under the orange government, but later they decided to leave them. The Orange Republic continued its existence as an autonomy within Witoldia, with its capital in the city of Yekhanurov. Control over the lost lands was restored within 5 days, but even now it is not entirely completed. The committee believed that it was also necessary to restore control over the former state of the 2nd kingdom - South Witoldia. But later they decided not to. Also, control over the states on the left bank of the Dnieper was not restored.

The cities came under the control of the RF Armed Forces. During the invasion, the bridge across the Thin Strait was damaged. In the afternoon, the leaders of Esgeldia and Teveria expressed support for the Witoldian people. There were telephone conversations between Tsar Arvelk I and President Chaban.

On February 25, the President announced the transfer of power into the hands of the military-civilian administration. All other state structures, except for Eshed and the State Secretariat, ceased to work and function. Elections will not be held for the period of martial law and civil-military administration.

On February 26, the President of Witoldia began to partially leave the VKontakte platform due to "the spread of false anti-Ukrainian propaganda and misinformation in this community, which are aimed at demoralizing Ukrainian citizens." Vitold Chaban emphasized that he was not going to leave the VK platform, and after the end of hostilities he would return there, and at the moment he would simply turn off notifications in all conversations, except for those controlled by Witoldia and the LIS assembly. Private messages will be available only to a certain circle of people. In the afternoon, short negotiations took place again on the Arvelkad-Palmir hotline, and President Chaban also made a radical decision to withdraw from conversations in which "clear anti-Ukrainian propaganda is being carried out." At about the same time, power in Palmir passed into the hands of the commandant of the CMA, who became Bogdan Solovey. The former kadir has been removed from office. Late in the evening on February 26, it was reported that the CWA had completely moved to the Telegram platform, and would conduct its activities there.
