Assemblian History

Assemblian History, the history of the Assemblic Sector and all regions colonized by the Assemblic Empires dates as far back as 7,000 BC with the arrival of the first peoples in the Assemblian region. However modern Assemblian history, beginning with the start of the first Fontasian tribes is debated to start around 2004 AD. From then on, history was recorded orally, it wasn't until 2015 when under the Fontasian Provisional Government when history was recorded in notebooks. The notebooks at some point in 2017 were lost, leaving very few original Assemblian documentation of past events. For some time history was not recorded until the Liber Imperiae, six notebooks describing and recording the functions of the 4th Assemblic Empire, Assemblic Federation, Assemblic Imperium and Second Assemblic Federation were made between 2018 and 2022. In 2019, the Codex Assembliana also began recording historical events, which provided the most detailed account of Assemblian history between 2019 and 2022.

After the collapse of the Second Assemblic Federation, records were moved digitally by the Kingdom of Fontasia. A condensed version of Liber Imperiae and Codex Assembliana records were transcribed digitally creating, the online version of the Codex Assembliana.

Pre-Assemblian History (7,000 BC-2004)

For millennia, the region of Assemblia was inhabited by indigenous tribes. Native peoples used dugout canoes to travel down the Cilomoro (Assabet) and Cappadane (Sudbury) Rivers in search of stone tools and weapons. The region became a well-known crossroad as early as the 11th century, as native groups traveled along distinguished trails that spanned across New England, using modern Mount Corrigith as a landmark to navigate to.

The Nipmuc peoples arrived in the region between 1200 AD and 1600 AD, inhabiting portions of the much larger Cedar Swamp in central Assemblia as well as Lake Cilomoro (Lake Hoccomonco). These people seasonally inhabited Assemblia.

In the 1630s, the first European explorers came across the region, with the arrival of John Oldham traveling up the Native trail routes from Plymouth Colony. John Oldham passed through the region to reach the Connecticut River, and the following decades would see the arrival of European colonists from colonial towns east of what would be Assemblia. By 1675, Assemblia was settled by the English, establishing a small village along the shores of Lake Northan.

On 18 November 1717 the town of Westborough was established, encompassing most of Assemblia Proper. It was the 100th town established in Massachusetts. The town grew to become a vibrant stopover town for colonists traveling on the roads. Taverns, farms and mills sprouted along the many creeks and rivers. The first minister of the town, Ebenezer Parkman lead the town through the American Revolutionary War, sending 46 minutemen to fight in the Revolution under the command of Captain Edmund Brigham.

In 1775, the northern portion of Westborough broke off from the town and became Northborough. In 1792, the famous inventor Eli Whitney Jr. was born in what would be modern-day Fontasia, he would later invent the Cotton gin and interchangeable parts.

Into the 1800s, the region of Assemblia would see the introduction of the Boston-Worcester railroad. Boots, hats, sleighs, textiles, bicycles and even underwear were manufactured in Westborough. In the 1900s, the region saw steady growth as it became enclosed in Boston's urban sprawl. Neighborhoods began to be developed in the late twentieth century across the town.

Early history (2004-2013)

Early Assemblia was divided into five main regions: Amstria, the central region, Hastonia, the eastern region, Cilomoria, the western region, Fontasia, a south-western region, and Sandrania, a south-eastern region. It is proposed by Assemblian historians that all regions but the southern one was well-developed. The southern regions, such as Sandrania, were either entirely not civilized, or had small warring tribes.

Fontasia was divided into multiple tribes in the east and west, but the western tribes were far more prominent. The major Western Fontasian tribes were the Jaxites and Rennites, who colonized a large expanse of wilderness in central Fontasia known as the Corrigith Forest. The two tribes grew along the Font River and are thought to have come to war in 2007 to 2010, with an exact date unknown. Evidence of this conflict, named the Corrigithian War, was discovered as airsoft pellets, discarded protective gear, and abandoned wooden forts. Both tribes are believed to have pushed each other out of existence, leading to a widespread tribal downfall.

In 2012, the Amstrians conquered all of Assemblia except the southern regions. In 2012, a group of Rennites managed to revolt and take the Rennite capital, ending the Rennite rule and establishing modern Fontum, these people named themselves the Fontasians and established the first Fontasian Republic later in May 2013.

Expansion and early empires (2013-2014)

After the establishment of the Fontasian Republic, the peoples of Amstria held an empire over Assemblia. The formation of Fontasia angered the Amstrians, thus beginning the Amstrian Wars. The Fontasians swiftly invaded uncolonized Sandrania to stand a better chance. By summer of 2013, the Amstrians signed an armistice, until fighting broke out again, this time as a civil war. Fontasia supported pro-independence rebels in Amstria. During this time, Fontasians colonized various regions on Cape Cod, which for years had a small Rennite settlement near the Namskaket Marshes. The Fontasians removed local tribes from power in the Lewis Bay region and established Fontasian Lewisia, the first major Assemblian colony established. By late 2014 the Amstrian rebels, with the help of Fontasia gained their freedom and finished the last of the Amstrians.

Fontasian Revolution and Conquering of Assemblia (2014-2015)

Independent Sandrania and Fontasia became a political union, known as the United Kingdoms of Sandrania-Fontasia. The Sandranians however eventually made it a single-party state, making Fontasia a du jure province. The Sandranian king imposed heavy restrictions on the Fontasians, notably prohibiting entry into Corrigith Forest. By spring 2015, the Fontasian rebellion was planned that would topple the king's rule, similar to the overthrow of the Rennites and Amstrians. Originally, there were two groups of Fontasian rebels, the Dollenic movement, a far less radical group and the Free Fontasia movement, the radical group. The Dollenic rebels eventually fought alongside with the Free Fontasia movement, and a combined revolution was prepared. The Fontasian Revolution began on 13 May 2015, where Fontasian revolutionaries retook control of their country, deposing the King of Sandrania on 25 May in the small town of Zippid, where he was confronted by the current King Conor I. The King was exiled back into Sandrania, and devising of a Fontasian state began almost immediately.

In the hours after the end of the Revolution, the Congress of Zippid was convened between the members of the Dollenic and Free Fontasia movement to decide which would control the new provisional regime. After large arguments and voting, the Free Fontasia movement won, therefore establishing the first modern Fontasian state.

The Fontasian rebellion would begin to devolve into groups of mercenaries known as "Assembles." The armies conquered what land was available in the southern regions, before taking the weakened Amstria and expanding northward, sparing Hastonia. During the middle of the summer, a non-Fontasian tribe near Fontum known as the Ritunds sacked the capital. Fontasian forces drove them into submission. On 25 August 2015, the First Assemblic Empire was declared after the dissolution of the Fontasian Provisional Government alongside the Tigerian Confederation, led by the Tigerians, a relatively new people who helped the Fontasian rebels conquer the Sandranians. The two nations became allies.

First empires (2015-2017)

In fall 2015, a fascist uprising occurred in Tigeria, which the Assemblic Empire helped suppress. The Assemblic Empire managed to establish the colony of Wamesia and improve the Lewisian colony, now known as Massadoria on Cape Cod. By winter 2016, the last of the fascists were eliminated, beginning a period of peace, however, the Empire gradually collapsed, and by summer Assemblia was finally fractured in what became known as the Fall of '16.

Later that summer, Fontasian mercenaries once again reconquered their lost lands and colonies, re-establishing the state as the Second Assemblic Empire. A new era began, an intergovernmental alliance known as the Assemblic Union was formed between Tigeria and Assemblia. The Second Assemblic Empire also began the Corrigith Expedition, a program that would start the rapid colonization of the Corrigith Forest through the construction of forts.

In early 2017, the Expedition stumbled upon the Hexans, a remnant of the forgotten Jaxite tribe, who attacked and captured the capital fort of the program, Fort Basepoint. The Assemblians later retook the fort, and the Hexans disappeared. This short conflict became known as the First Hexan War. In early spring, the first Assemblian expedition to Mappal occured. However, the King and his guards were caught in a siege by Mappalian insurgents, which were defeated after a day-long battle in the Mappalian capital city. Assemblia kept expanding throughout 2017, reaching its largest territorial peak at that point. These pressures exerted by holding so much territory caused a civil war broke out between Monarchists and Republicans. The first battle, the Battle Of Gaers, saw the largest episode of naval combat in Assemblian history, and lead to a Monarchist victory. The last of the Republicans were defeated by July. In fall 2017, the Hexans returned with vengeance for the Second Hexan War, in which they raided Fontum multiple times. A truce was signed that would last for a few months. In December, a constitutional referendum occurred, establishing the Third Empire, the first Assemblian constitutional monarchy. The result of the referendum caused a small civil war to occur known as the December Revolution, where Absolutists fought against Constitutionalists. On 5 January 2018 the Absolutist faction surrendered securing Constitutionalism in Assemblia.

Assemblian Golden Age and Middle empires (2018-2019)

In early 2018 the Hexans began to attack, but that was cut short after the Battle of the Blizzard, a brutal siege of Fontum in the midst of a snowstorm which led to an Assemblian victory. The battle was one of the most important and contentious battles in Assemblian history. The Hexans surrendered, and the war was over. In the early spring, a raider people from Assemblia's northern frontier invaded, they were known as the Hudsennians. They invaded deep into the Assemblian lands and began to undermine the population by supporting Republican rebels. A Second Civil War began the Republicans with the help of the Hudsennians and the Monarchists. The battles were mostly in the Assemblian heartlands, and many battles were repeated at the same locations. Amidst all this unrest, Assemblia discovered a new people and civilization that developed separately to the southeast of them, known as the Fletovians. The leader of the Fletovians was one of the emperor's most loyal generals, and the official name of their people was the Empire of the Fleetwoods, or Fletovia. Upon discovery, trade immediately began and the Fletovians were admitted into the AU. The Government was divided on the alliance, as they thought the general was going to start a coup to conquer the already weak Assemblia. An anti-Fletovian advisor of the emperor accused the Fletovian Emperor as being a racist, which began a conspiracy of distrust in the new ally. The peak of the crisis was in late May, when the advisor declared his own independent state, known as the Banana Republic, and instantly declared war on the Fletovians. Split on who to support, the AU tried to ease tensions, but nothing worked. The city of Millis, an Assemblian military base was brought into mobilization, as forces of a Fletovian enclave approached, which sought to start a war.

The war was narrowly avoided however, as a last-minute decision of the AU nations to turn on the advisor occurred. The Banana Republic was forcefully dissolved by the powers, and the advisor sent into exile. The Civil War ended, as ties between AU members grew. By the fall, Assemblia seemed to start to collapse, however the Empire did manage to form diplomatic ties with the United Provinces of Natlin and briefly entered the micronational YouTube community. In late October, the Empire descended into anarchy. Only weeks later, a Panemist regime came into power, renaming Assemblia to Paxem. They were surprisingly supported originally by Fletovia and other AU members. The Hudsennians and their ally, the Flanovians, a southern neighbor of Assemblia invaded together, the Flanovians marching into Fontum, sending the Panemists north. The Fletovians then broke ties with the Panemists, as a pro-Monarchist rebellion started by the Flanovians and Hudsennians began. The Panemists were defeated, but the monarchists eventually turned on the occupiers, known as the Assemblic Revolution. By December, the Hudsennians and Flanovians were driven out, and the Fourth Assemblic Empire was declared. The Fourth Empire was stable, opening diplomatic relations with international micronations, notably getting involved in the Sovakstan Crisis. Although insurgent activities occurred in unstable regions, Assemblia had a very centralized state. Most modern colonies were occupied by Assemblians at this point. But by February 2019, the Empire entered a phase of drastic reforms, which lead to the Empire to collapse. This collapse was not like any other collapses, it was the Fall Of '19.

Collapse, Federation and Early Imperium (2019-2020)

The Assemblian lands fell into warring factions, starting the Assemblian War, where the Fletovians, Tigerians and Hudsennians fought for control of the massive power vacuum. Fontum and Fontasia was under Fletovian colonial administration. Small attempts at reforming the Empire happened, which most times failed, except one. During this period, intense fighting between the Fontasians in Fontum and the long-forgotten Ritundic peoples who raided Fontum in 2015 occurred, known as the Fontum Troubles. The Fontasians forced them out of the region entirely, similar to the Hexans. A revolt occurred on 21 July in Fontasia, known as the Blue Revolution where Fontasians attempted to push out the colonial government and reform Fontasia. Fontum was blockaded by the Fletovians and the revolt was crushed. In late summer however the Fontasians managed to unify themselves once more against the collapsing Fletovian government, negotiated with their former allies and established a small federation. In October 2019, Fontasian forces marched into Amstria, as they did many years before and proclaimed the First Assemblic Federation. The Tigerians and Fletovians joined, strengthening the Federation. This was the beginning of long-term prosperity, despite some insurrections by Amstrians and other groups. In early 2020 however, a coup occurred, establishing the authoritarian Assemblic Imperium. The Imperium rapidly expanded. Technology continued to be created, including Assemblia's first pressurized water rockets. In March 2020 however, progress halted as the COVID-19 pandemic began to spread across the Imperium. The Assemblian economy hit all-time lows, the military became disorganized. In the spring, progress in the Corrigith Expedition occured, as faraway portions were being mapped and colonized. Tigeria was given independence. Stability began to tank as communist, republican and fascist insurgents began to riot into summer, which descended into the Third Assemblic Civil War, with battles being fought in almost all territories. Every faction was on their own, tearing Assemblia apart. The Emperor fled to the southernmost colony, and began a series of reforms, known as the Novus Reformationem, or New Reforms. The factions surrendered, as the Supreme Directorate-a multi-party legislature was established.

Late Imperium (2020-2021)

After these reforms, tensions decreased, however Assemblian militias were being ambushed by local "warlord" gangs in Amstria. Into fall, the Imperium fought a useless war against southern neighbors known as the Phrocians. After that, the Pax Assembliana began, as a period of prolonged peace occurred. Assemblians met with a leader of a long-isolated native Fontasian tribe known as the Wobanians and let them keep their autonomy. They had an extremely advanced fort civilization that used fire, ovens and even clay pottery. The Corrigith Expedition was fascinated by their ten-year isolation amidst all that had happened in Fontasia. In early 2021, the Centropolis Trading Post was opened in Amstria, as a way to dramatically increase economic growth by selling consumer goods. As soon as it opened, economic growth exploded, overwhelming the Imperial banks and sending deflation skyrocketing. In spring, a covert operation to invade all AU members (now Assemblosphere) occurred, some willingly joining the Imperium. In May, a major Praetorial election took place, as the first Left Praetor was nominated, increasing public happiness. The late spring and summer were defined by naval training and a small colonial uprising, which was crushed. In late July, a landmark Directorate legislation declared that the Second Assemblic Federation would be established. On August 12, Directorate and Emperor approved the Territorial Reorganization Act, which was an act that gave guaranteed independence to many territories as a way to centralize the Federation. The total territories decreased from 72 to 34. This is known as the Great Liberation. On August 25, 2021, the Second Assemblic Federation was declared, dissolving the Assemblic Imperium and the Provisional Government. Shortly afterwards, the AFG announced a period of isolation to protect the young Federation from foreign influence. Major advances in economics and technology began in early September with the establishment of Isovo Labs in Frasem. Former military officers and politicians from the First Federation once again rejoined the ADF and AFG. Around September 15, Cappadanian nationalists began an armed revolt in Eastern Cappadania, promoting anti-Assemblian and anti-Imperialist violence. On September 23, the Federation declared a mass mobilization and declaration of war on Cappadania, seeing it as a rogue province. A few days later, violence erupted in Centropolis, in which the ADF only protected the Centropolis Trading Post. This wave of insurgency is known as Black Autumn.

Second Federation (2021-2022)

During all these internal conflicts, the Assemblic Federation established the Norumbega Pact, an intermicronational alliance based on cooperation and combined military protection of New England and United States East Coast micronations. Though focused on the US, many members are located across the world. On 23 October 2021, the Federation retook Cappad, marking a turning point in the Cappadanian War. The Norumbega Pact was eventually merged with the Rocky Mountain Confederation on 25 October 2021. On 31 October 2021, the Battle of the Bolues Forest occurred, securing Assemblian victory in the Cappadanian War. The Treaty of Pyum was signed two days later, ending the Cappadanian War. On 7 November, the new and rapidly expanding hypothetical ideology known as Dissociatism was accepted in Assemblia after the Council of the Collective Cornucopia (CCC) was founded. The CCC persuaded the emperor to attempt a coup to install a Dissociatist Dictatorship, which failed. This was known as the November Coup. The emperor was then suspended from his power for two weeks, and the CCC was censored for two weeks. Despite the CCC's scrutiny, the Directorate passed Dissociatist policies such as the Special Economic Zones Act to alleviate tensions for when the CCC returned from censorship. Between 15 November and 18 November, Assemblia was in a brief cyberwar with the Discord raider group known as the Almendria. Alongside many allies in retaliation to multiple attacks on micronational servers, the Assemblic Cybersecurity Command (ACC) was able to raid the occupied Micronational United Nations server. The war ended as defenses in Assemblian and allied servers proved to be raid-proof. On 15 November, the first Foreign Praetor was elected, starting a new digital era to Assemblian government. The Civil Commission was also established as a lawmaking body for the Foreign Citizenry. After events that transpired on Discord during the last weeks of November 2021 that threatened the Emperor's and nations security, the Assemblic Federation Discord Server and all accounts associated with the Emperor have been disabled. Assemblia itself has not collapsed, but the Emperor is on a temporary hiatus. On 15 December 2021, Foreign Praetor Emir Jovic was impeached due to a conspiracy that he was going to coup the RMC. On 16 December 2021, the Assemblic Federation, Empire of Meritia and the Kingdom Of Scynja signed the Mutual Tri-Alliance Pact, creating a trade and military alliance with two of Assemblia's most important allies. On 26 December 2021, the Udayaprakash-2 Rocket was launched from Dobrok, soaring far higher than Udayaprakash-1.

Downfall of the Second Federation (January 2022-February 2022)

Into 2022, the Assemblic Federation began the New Year with celebrating the first Virtual Conflict Remembrance Day (VCR Day) as the Tizianist Almendrian Reich collapsed completely due to a few major nuking raids. On 10 January the first Assemblian lightbulb was successfully tested in Isovo, being the first significant invention made by the scientific laboratory in the city. The Assemblic Federation was involved in the Zepranan Crisis, where political and diplomatic turmoil nearly destroyed the Zepranan Republic, an ally of the Federation. The Zepranan server was consequentially nuked by Tizian, who had recently returned from a brief period in the shadows. As these virtual conflicts were happening, the Federation itself began to experience issues. The Wobanians, the last native Fontasian tribe only discovered in 2020 began to call for more autonomy, which the Federal government ignores. The ethnic group tried again four days later on 19 January, threatening secession, which caused a massive dispute in the Supreme Directorate. The Right in the Directorate propose a suspension, which is fiercely opposed by the Leftists, as fighting breaks out in the autonomous region, with the ADF not responding due to the harsh Winter conditions. This wave of anti-Federal, nationalist fervor spreads across the Federation rapidly. Far-off regions begin revolting. The Cappadanian rebels resurge in Sudvania, spreading into the Eastern provinces. The Native Praetor orders the Leftists to suspend Wobania, in which they refuse. Stability plummets as riots in the economically strategic city of Centropolis begin, urging the Emperor himself to move his personal guard, the Assemblic Order to crush the Wobanian revolts. This infuriates the Supreme Directorate as the Wobanian Crisis worsens. On 25 January, Isovo, the technology capital of Assemblia erupts into chaos. The Emperor and loyalists evacuate and head back to Fontum. Left declare Emperor and Praetor are abusing power. Two days after, colonies and territories begin to secede, first two being Devenia and Cappadania. The Federation begins to deteriorate. Assemblic Order secures Centropolis as ADF militias mutiny. Foreign invaders attack colonies. On 29 January, the Directorate dissolves as Wobania officially declares independence. A few days later, the Emperor declares the Federation will be officially dissolved on 5 February, allowing independence of all willing territories as the military is dissolved. The Emperor officially abdicates at 15:00, with the Federation officially dissolving two hours later. The Emperor makes it clear that there would be no future attempts at Assemblian Reunification by him or his followers. The Fall Of '22 officially occurs. The Assemblian identity is no more. Two days after the collapse, the former Emperor consolidates his control in the city of Fontum, creating a city-state with the remnants of the Assemblic Order maintaining control. The lands that were once under the Federation have divided into dozens of warring polities, which supported either the Right of the former Directorate or the Left of the former Directorate. Fontasian-majority regions remain loyal to the former Emperor. Splinter groups of communists and fascists appear, as the Tigerian fascists resurge after nearly six years. The Assemblic Order, now the Fontasian Order swiftly occupies Kartla as the Wobanian forces surrender due to waning support because of the lack of supplies given by the ex-government and harsh winter conditions. These many wars across Assemblia will be known as the Second Assemblian War.

Return of Fontasia (February 2022-March 2022)

Into February, local warlords begin waging wars on each other. Loyalists in Fontasia attack the native Fontasian tribes in an effort to secure the Fontasian nation from any ethnic threats. Colonial regions with Fontasian diaspora, such as Lewisia in Massadoria and Dobrok in Wamesia fight back against the warlords in their respective regions. In mid-February the Tarcellians begin attacking Fontasia, as a new war breaks out. Dilu Island in Massadoria is divided between many micronational powers, causing a semi-crisis with Zeprana known as the Dilu Island Dispute, as the Zepranan government believed the island was theirs. The beliefs of a Fontasian nation state grow. The renegade Millisian army, under the control of one of the Emperor's most loyal commanders join the Fontasian Order in their inquisition to reclaim the Fontasian nation. Amstria and Cilomoria are caught in major conflicts amongst themselves. On 24 February, the ex-Imperial government, now coming closer to returning to power in Fontasia regions, discovers the The Buddie Union, a large micronation that claimed regions of Assemblia Proper. The leaders of the two nations agree to compromise and divide Assemblia into two, to supplement the two nation's interests. An alliance is established between the two nations, becoming the first time since 2018 a micronation near the Home Regions is allied. This division of Assemblia was known as the Phrocian Division, as the Buddie Union was beginning to be called "Phrocia" by Fontasians, because of the fake war against the southern Phrocian peoples in 2020, which were located around the region the Buddie Union consists of today. The Cedar Line is drawn, giving Buddie Union Sandrania, Orkaria and Cediria, making Fontasia and other Assemblian nations keep northwestern, northern and western regions of Assemblia. By 27 February, the plan of a Fontasian nation-state becomes a reality, as the Edict of Mauloburg, the founding document of the Kingdom of Fontasia is signed on 1 March 2022, restoring the Fontasian monarchy under King Conor. At the time of Fontasia's re-establishment, the Assemblian War overall has ceased, due to the Buddian presence in Sandrania and southern Hastonia. Mostly Pro-Fontasian warlords lie to the northwestern parts of Assemblia. Assemblia enters a new age of two micronations in the region, something that hasn't happened since 2018.

Fontasian Low Times (March 2022-April 2022)

After the formation of the Kingdom, the wars in Assemblia have decreased tremendously, as fears of angering the Buddians to the south and Fontasia have caused local warlords to submit to their respective influencers. On 10 March, the Truce of Isovo is signed, ending the Second Assemblian War. The Assemblic Commonwealth, an alliance between all Assemblian states north and west of the Cedar Line is formed. This new era of post-colonialism in Fontasia lead to a decline in nationalist morale in Fontasia. The collapse of an Assemblian nation, the ongoing Tarcellian War and the encroachment of the Buddie Union in Assemblia had left Fontasians feeling they were nothing more than a lost people who had lost all their glory. This despairing point in Fontasian history had been given the name the "Low Times." Despite these national feelings, the Fontasian Order had reorganized themselves, and the Protectorate of Tannebon was established in the Northern Regions on a beach near Salicia, becoming the first Fontasian protectorate. On 27 March 2022, the first expedition into the Atvan Forest is launched, leading to the discovery of many new trails and river systems in Fontasia's most remote region. In late March, the Dilu Crisis began to flare up once more, as Zepranan threats of invasion of Dilu Island became known. The Kingdom of Fontasia allied the Republic of Averna, an anti-Zepranan nation that had direct land borders with Zeprana. On 30 March 2022, at exactly 9:00PM EST, the Kingdom of Fontasia formally declared war on the Kingdom of Zeprana for threatening and possibly violating Fontasian and Allied territory on Dilu Island. This began the first partially non-digital micronational conflict Fontasia has participated in. The King claimed the war was the Fontasian "Sacred War" as the fatherland itself was being attacked. Two days later, Zeprana renounced all claims and declared unconditional surrender to Fontasia and her allies, sending Zeprana into isolation and ending the Dilu Island dispute in all. On 12 April 2022, Fontasia declared victory over the COVID-19 Pandemic, scrapping all guidelines and designating the virus as an endemic disease. On 15 April, the Doctrine of the Ergatist Struggle is published as the first Ergatist manifesto ever written, officially establishing Ergatism as an ideology. Two days later, the Udayaprakash-3 rocket was launched from Dobrok, but unfortunately exploded halfway through its flight. This would be the first failure of the Udayaprakash rocket program, and was intentionally kept secret until June 2022 to prevent Zepranan government officials to make a mockery of the failure. On 18 April, King Conor I tested positive for COVID-19.

Centralization of Fontasia (April 2022-October 2022)

Starting 20 April 2022, the King and his government began to add major laws to the still developing nation. Citizens were now allowed to establish their own territory on non-Fontasian occupied land. Another critical change made by the King was the demotion of the Circumference to merely a board of advisors, as the King stripped the legislature of its law-making capabilities but kept the position of Praetor.This made Fontasia a de facto stratocratic dictatorship. On 23 April the first visit to Dilu Island for 2022 was made by the King, planting the Fontasian flag on the island and taking detailed imagery on each of the territories of the claiming nations. The first image of the much smaller Purple Island was taken. This was a significant morale boost for the country as it proved that Fontasia could protect their land and would protect their land if needed. In early May, relations with Zeprana began to improve, as interests in maintaining a loyal ally in the Rhode Island Sector became a strategic foreign policy goal for Fontasia. With this, the New England Mutual Cooperation Agreement (NEMCA) began to be planned to act as a regional non-aggression pact between New England micronations.

On 13 May 2022, an expedition around the territory of Isovo was held as a celebration for the Ninth Formation Day, commemorating the nine years of Fontasian national existence. A food riot occurred after the expedition, when hungry Isovans attempted to storm a "free ice cream vendor" in the megacomplex in the city. On 19 May, the Kingdom annexed the Viskara territory and abandoned the Paneron District in Centropolis because of the rising gang violence and drug usage in the region. A day after, on 20 May, the Fontasian Supreme Directorate was established, ending the periodic dictatorship and reinstituting a legislature in Fontasia to replace the ineffective Fontasian Circumference. Also on 20 May and the day after, the Kingdom of Fontasia played an active role in the start of the Zepranan Revolution by recognizing Terry McKeen's rightful control over Zeprana and denouncing radicals and revolutionaries claiming their own Zeprana. Another action by the Fontasian government is to make the Kingdom of Pontunia, Malus and the Empire of Ela'Roech and all revolutionary Zepranas unrecognized states. The result of turmoil in Zeprana lead to the creation of the Carta Conoricus, a limitation document to the monarch, similar to the Magna Carta.

At the start of June, Fontasia enacted Limited Practice policy, a highly controversial system of sanctioning members of the LGBTQ+ community into government-mandated zones around the country. This policy would soon be adopted by the Grand Principality of Arcadia, Empire of Meritia, Kingdom of Scynja and the Dominion of Breheimen. On 6 June 2022, Fontasia briefly came into conflict in support of the Grand Principality of Arcadia against the Federal Republic of Zeprana, known as the Second Fontaso-Zepranan War. The war ended only a few hours later when Arcadian forces captured the Zepranan province of Wyoming. In the middle of June, Fontasia participated in the brief crisis between Cycoldia and Ela'r'oech. On 4 July, Fontasia established and joined the New England Mutual Protection Agreement, a revitalized version of the proposed Norumbega Pact created in late 2021 and the previously defunct New England Mutual Cooperation Agreement. In mid-July, Fontasian relations with Almendria and Zeprana collapsed due to a disagreement.

On 23 July 2022, the 2022 Rygionic Games are held in the northern coastal province of Rye, King Conor wins the famed bocce ball tournament. A day later, the developing national ideology of modern Fontasia, spearheaded by King Conor was officially coined, being called Conorianism. The ideological basis of Conorianism was Fontasian nationalism, Ergatism, technological and philosophical advance and furthering Fontasian dominance in the micronational community. A few days later, the revolutionary Free Fontasia Party was established, being the successor of the Free Fontasia Movement of the 2015 Fontasian Revolution. During this time, tensions against Zeprana flared up once more, beginning what would be known as the Second Zepranan Cold War.

Tensions with Zeprana began to rise once more when on 31 July, Zeprana claimed land bordering Fontasia along the Lewisian Governorate, known to them as "Feildstone." The Fontasian government denied the claim as there was little validity or proof that Zeprana could control its territory. On 2 August 2022, Fontasia allowed for a demilitarized zone to be set up along only the Fontasian border, and if Zeprana attempted the invasion, crossing the demilitarized zone would allow more micronations to join the conflict with a casus belli.Two days later, Fontasia regained relations with Grant Taylor of the Republic of Friuli and installed Grant Taylor as the local governor of the Zepranan State, a rebel group. Fontasia then occupied a ceded territory to better help enforce claims. On 7 August 2022, the Governorate of Mappal legally seceded from the Kingdom of Fontasia, ending colonial rule in the merely abandoned territory. On 10 August, the Feildstone Crisis was officially averted, as Zepranan and Fontasian leadership agreed to end tensions. As a result, cut ties with UNEM and officially reclaimed the former Fontasian Zeprana territory because they had no use to Fontasian strategy anymore. On 12 August 2022, the FDF tested the Phaeton-13 projectile launcher in Fontum. It successfully fired twice, becoming the FDF's standard artillery weapon. Later on that day, the Fontasian Defense Forces (FDF) was combined into one singular force with universalized capabilities that include land, sea, air and cyberdefense training. The merge was due to a need for a more flexible armed force.

On 15 August 2022, an attack was perpetrated by the raiding group NOKKO on the Kingdom of Fontasia discord server, which lead to its mass reporting. The FDF quickly deleted the server before Discord TOS could, and established a new server. Terry McKeen was quickly targeted by the FDF, with the Fontasian government swearing that anti-Zepranan terrorist attacks would occur in the coming weeks, and even an invasion of Amesston within the next few years. Several allies pledged support for the loss of the Fontasian discord server. The Fontasian government quickly rebuilt in the days following. Tensions plummeted on 20 August due to an attempted tripartite agreement being agreed upon by Fontasia, Zeprana and Admirilia to de-escalate tensions. Fontasia partially after Zeprana swore to be neutral in any future conflict. This practically ended the Feildstone Crisis. However days later Fontasia backed out of the agreement with the ratification of the Zeprana Act.

The Kingdom of Fontasia celebrated its first Fontasia Day on 27 August. On 3 September 2022, the Fontasian Defense Forces conducted the long-awaited security operation in former Zepranan Feildstone territory, officially claiming the area for the Kingdom of Fontasia. There was no Zepranan resistance in the region and locals welcomed the Fontasian occupation.

On 8 September, the Supreme Directorate became an Ergatist legislature, allowing for multiparty representation, however the parties ranged in Ergatist conservatism. The King appointed himself as Patron of the Ergatist Ideology, making him the ceremonial leader of all Ergatist parties. The following day, Fontasia annexed land in w:Ireland Ireland, being known as the Protectorate of Galvegia. This was Fontasia's de facto entrance into the Galway Sector. On 13 September 2022, the Kingdom of Fontasia publically released the "McKeen Exposure" document to rightfully incriminate Terry McKeen of Zeprana as one of the many acts of retaliation for the August 15th Attack. On 24 September 2022, the Kingdom of Fontasia declared itself as neutral micronation online, refraining from conflict and factionalism through online networks. However, Fontasia remains non-neutral in real-life. 27 September saw the dissolution and abolition of the Assemblic Commonwealth in preparation for a Third Assemblic Federation that would create a Commonwealth-like union among Assemblian states.

Fontasian Golden Age (October 2022-June 2023)

On 28 September the current Fontasian Praetor was suspended for drinking alcohol and becoming intoxicated, the first suspension of any Fontasian politician. The suspension was the result of foreign condemnation of the lack of government response by the Empire of Meritia and the Kingdom of Scynja. After the suspension, the Republic of Roscamistan jokingly declared war over the matter, starting the "Fontaso-Roscami War." On 7 October 2022 King Conor I was officially coronated as King of Fontasia, one of the many annual coronations he has partaken in. A few days later on 10 October, the Dilu War Memorial was constructed on Dilu Island to commemorate the Dilu Crisis that happened earlier in 2022. On that same day non-native citizens were permitted to participate in supporter groups. On 23 October, the Fontasian protectorate of Galvegia was invaded and attacked by the Ostruckan-backed Allah's Spirit Islamic terrorist group, beginning an undeclared war known as the Galway Troubles. On 27 October, the Kingdom of Fontasia broke ties with the Buddie Union and ordered a general mobilization of FDF forces in the Assemblian region.

A week later, on 1 November 2022 the Kingdom of Fontasia officially declared war on the Buddie Union, beginning what is known as the Orkar Crisis. On 2 November, the Kingdom of Fontasia was ceded land by the Empire of Meritia in the Ohio region, creating the Protectorate of Blue Oak, Fontasia's westernmost territory. On 5 November 2022 the Orkar Crisis ended with a Fontasian victory, with the Treaty of Lyndonburg being signed. Fontasia gained several regions it hoped to gain. The 2022 Directorial Elections on 10 November were a major victory for the Ergatist Party of Fontasia as well as the Free Fontasia Party, which saw two non-native citizens coming to government position due to their posts as administrators of Protectorates. On 14 November 2022 the first Fontasian currency, the Fontis (Ғ) was created, causing several major economic reforms to occur in Fontasia the days following to allow for the possibility of the Fontasian stock exchange. Two days later, the Fontum Stock Exchange was officially established, leading Fontasia into a new era of economic advancement. On 23 November 2022, the Corrigith Expedition entered the unknown Vaitego Woods region for the first time, discovering a bunker and peculiar artifacts. The 2022 Fall Praetorial Election, held on 25 November 2022 was won by Joseph Montgomery, winning a second non-consecutive term as Praetor representing the Free Fontasia Party. In the weeks following, Praetor Montgomery implemented many new reforms. In early December 2022, the Kingdom of Fontasia became involved in the Turtle Island dispute, supporting its ally the Empire of Meritia diplomatically.

On 12 December 2022, the Supreme Directorate passed several monumental legislation. Fontasia officially endorsed Roman Catholicism as its state religion, as well as the removal of the Praetor's term limits and the implementation to make the current Supreme Directorate voting system obsolete. On 24 December 2022, Fontasia annexes land in Florida in the St. Johns Valley Sector, naming it Trasona in honor of the former micronation of the same name in the region. On 11 January 2023, the Kingdom of Fontasia received the first ever physical Zepranan flag, beating even the government of Zeprana to the feat. Widely seen as another victory of Fontasia over Zeprana in the undeclared cold war between the two nations. A day later, the Corrigithian Order was established, to succeed the defunct Fontasian Order as a Christian military organization in Fontasia. On 13 January the Kingdom of Fontasia declared formal diplomatic support for the Roscami government in the subsequent Roscami Civil War. Days later, Fontasia briefly supported Zeprana during the Zeprano-Elarian War, but withdrew from the conflict a day later. On 16 January, Fontasia supported the National Patriotic Front in their coup against the Roscami government, and denounced the liberal Roscami government after their coup failed. Fontasia helped establish the Connemara Republic after the coup as well. On 3 February, the Protectorate of Blue Oak becomes the 14th Fontasian Governorate, and on the same day temperatures plummet to record lows in mainland territories, with the cold front being known as the Big Freeze. On 10 February, the 2023 Winter Directorial Elections took place, seeing a re-election of almost every Fontasian political party. The elected Director of the Populist Party of Fontasia, just two days after being elected is removed from power by Praetor Joseph Montgomery due to his leftist political beliefs, with every other party in the Directorate supporting this decision.

On 9 March 2023, the Kingdom of Fontasia annexed several more territories from the Buddie Union. Despite being technically illegal, as the Buddian government was never consulted, the Fontasian government defended its actions by saying that they were "helping their southern neighbor" that couldn't "enforce their northern claims."
