The Galway Troubles was an undeclared conflict between the Kingdom of Fontasia and the Islamic group Allah's Spirit in the Fontasian protectorate of Galvegia that started on 23 October 2022.

Invasion of Galvegia (23 October 2022)

    Pretext

On 9 September 2022 the Kingdom of Fontasia annexed the Protectorate of Galvegia in the Galway Sector upon permission from the Republic of Roscamistan. Galvegia would become the first non-New England territory of the micronation and it would be guaranteed protection by its Protector, Thomas Jacobs and the Roscami armed forces, due to its distant proximity from the Fontasian mainland.

Upon notification that the Kingdom of Fontasia had laid claim to Galvegia, the Islamic Emirate of Östruck was disturbed by the news, however no major action was taken.

Allah's Spirit, an Islamic terrorist group with the basis of liberating the Galway Sector from foreign influence was formed on 21 October 2022, founded by the leader of the Empire of Östruck, Marco Hasse. The group had fierce resentment to any colonialism in the Galway Sector, targeting the Kingdom of Fontasia, Kingdom of Nortenland and Democratic Republic of Bombora for their claims in the region.

    Invasion of Galvegia

At around 10:15 AM EST the King of Fontasia was sent a video via Discord of two soldiers firing weapons by the President of Roscamistan. Almost seconds later Marco Hasse direct messaged the King telling him that Allah's Spirit had begun its invasion of Fontasian Galvegia. Alarmed and confused, the King notified the Protector of the territory on the matter, and received a response of little concern from him.

Minutes later more imagery of the invasion was sent by Marco Hasse to the King of Fontasia, showing a red-and-white checkered flag being held in Vorogo, the territory's capital. The President of Roscamistan then reassured the King that the rockets fired actually missed the territory.

The Kingdom of Fontasia then condemned Allah's Spirit as a terrorist organization and demanded a response from the Roscami armed forces to help retake the lost territory.

At around 10:50 AM EST Marco Hasse proposed an agreement between Allah's Spirit and the Kingdom of Fontasia to form an Islamic Free State in Galvegia. The King of Fontasia, due to Thomas Jacob's lack of concern proposed asking the Commonwealth of Ballinfoyleburg to reclaim Galvegia.

A few hours later, around 1:30 PM EST a combined detachment of Roscami and Ballinfoylish soldiers reclaimed the Crestwood Thicket and then the entirety of Galvegia. A few hours after that, the Fontasian government declined Allah's Spirit's request of granting them control of Galvegia and for Fontasia to recognize them as a group. The King of Fontasia further asserted that if any more attacks were to happen, Fontasia would not only declare war on Allah's Spirit but also declare war on the Empire of Östruck.

    Treaty of Vorogo

That evening, the Kingdom of Fontasia and members of Allah's Spirit agreed to negotiate a treaty for the territory. The Treaty of Vorogo was then signed, with the Kingdom of Fontasia ceding parts of southern Galvegia for the establishment of the Allah's Spirit-lead and Östruckan-backed Islamic Sultanate of Hedjia. A 5-year non-aggression pact was then made, as well as a free travel and transport agreement for Hedjians to cross freely into Galvegia.

Upon signing this treaty, the conflict officially ceased, being the shortest conflict in Fontasian history lasting less than a day.
