The 2022 Fontasia-Roscamistan war (nicknamed the Drinking War) was a conflict in the Galway Sector which begun after Conor Newman, King of Fontasia suspended the Praetor (PM) of Fontasia for drinking underage at a party. President Thomas Jacobs of Roscamistan jokingly declared war on Fontasia over this, seeing it as a “ploy” to stop drinking. So far the war has been cold, with not much going on, other than East Galway capturing the desk of President Jacobs after Fontasia took it briefly.

The war effectively ended after the dissolution of Fontasia in June 2023.

    Cause

In September 2022, the head of government of Fontasia was suspended for drinking underage, after outcry by Fontasia allies. Roscamistan would then declare war over his suspension, seeing it as an anti-drinking ploy, though it was seen as a joke.

    Course of the war

The war started off with Fontasia taking the desk of Thomas Jacobs, until East Galway swiftly took it over. On 1 October 2022, the two leaders of the two main countries in the war, Roscamistan and Fontasia, Thomas Jacobs and Conor Newman agreed to keep the war going until either Jacobs or Newman passed away.
