The Province of the Irish Cape was the northernmost province of Roscamistan. The Province was created in the Irish summer of 2021 as the Northern Province. Originally ruled as a triumvirate, that body was abolished in February 2022, and a system of a Governor and a Chancellor was set up.

History

The province was established in 2021 to organise territory north of Greater Roscam, Mervustan, and Galway City. President Thomas Jacobs found it difficult to create an authority or autonomous executive, so it was decided after months of deadlock, to create the Northern Council, comprised of three people, one from the Home Office, one from the Provincial Government of Connemara, and one from the Greater Roscam Government.

On 26 February 2022, the three member-body rule was abolished, and the province was given autonomy under the Chancellor.

The province was abolished after Roscamistan federalised on the 27th of June 2023. All citizens from the province were transferred to the remaining provinces.

Government

The government of the province was led by the Governor of the Irish Cape, who served as head of state and government of the Province. The Governor was assisted by his lieutenant.
