Wazakhstan is an executive constitutional monarchy, with a Head of State, King Waz I and Prime Minister, Ned Hilton. In government, there is a cabinet currently made up of selected individuals all of whom represent a political party.

On a local level, the country is split into administrative subdivisions known as duchies. There are 4 of these and each has its own executive council with the Duke serving as the councils' leader. In addition to the duchies, there is one territory known as the Your Mum Capital Territory as it is home to the Capital City of Your Mum. There is no executive council here as residents are only members of the royal family, however a High Sheriff serves to protect the family and maintain order and security.

Political Parties

There are currently 10 political parties represented across the micronation. At present, the Liberal Party is the most popular, with the majority of citizens choosing to pledge their support and affiliation to the party when completing the citizenship form. The political parties are less a collection of parties covering the entire political spectrum, but more parties that represent either a specific policy or something directly related to the founding individual.

Executive Councils

Wazambique

Governance in the Duchy of Wazambique takes the form of an Executive Council. This council currently has 5 members, covering the 3 wards of which it serves. It is the primary body of administration, political control and decision making for the residents of the duchy, residing in the settlements of Smashmouth, Estereal and Mindley. The council is the largest of the 4 Executive Councils and there is diverse political representation. Both the Smashmout ward and the Estereal ward are 2-member, meaning due to the populous nature of the wards, two councillors jointly serve in them. Councillors were appointed by Prime Minister Ned Hilton and will serve until the first election. All residents live in the Duchy. The position of Duke of Wazambique, currently held by Lord Baron Flanagan holds little power on the Council. Technically not a councillor, the Duke can however exercise dictatorial powers under permission of the King, though this a rare occurrence and in reality, the position is merely ceremonial.
