MicroWiki:Red link

This page documents an English MicroWiki policy. It describes a widely accepted standard that all editors should normally follow. Changes made to it should reflect consensus. |
Red links (sometimes referred to as dead links), like this one, signify that the linked-to page does not exist—it either never existed, or previously did exist but has been deleted. It is useful while editing articles to add a red link to indicate that a page will be created soon or that an article should be created for the topic because the subject is notable and verifiable; red links help MicroWiki expand and grow. The creation of red links prevents new pages from being orphaned from the start.
A red link appears whenever double brackets [[ ]]
are placed around a word or phrase for which MicroWiki does not have an article.
When should I create a red link?!
This article contains too many red links, and may be going through a major copy edit. You can help by clicking on red links and creating articles or by removing unnecessary red links. |
