The Imperial Oro is the currency of the Empire of Holcetaea. The Imperial Oro is the only legal currency of the Empire, and all provincial currency was abolished on the Oros creation. The only foreign currency accepted in the Empire are U.S. coins due to the mints incapability to produce metal currency. U.S. coins are treated as Oro coins with a penny being one one-hundredth on One Oro, a 50 cent piece as half an Oro, and dollar coins equal to one Oro. The Oro's symbol is O^ The Imperial Bank of Holcetaea mints alL Oro notes under the administration of the Lord Secretary of the Treasury. Currently the Oro comes in notes of O^1, O^5, O^10, O^20, O^50, and O^100.
Design
The 1 Oro note has the flag of Eastern Kingdom of Holcetaea on the front and a picture of Tagtmeier Palace on the reverse.
The five Oro note has the flag of Principality of Novantaea on the front and a picture of the John Deere Commons on the reverse.
The ten Oro note has the flag of the Principality of Raetia and a bridge across the Great River on the reverse.
The twenty Oro note has the flag of the Western Kingdom of Holcetaea on the front and the old capitol building of Iowa on the reverse.
The fifty Oro note has the flag of the Principality of Attacottia and the botanical center on the reverse.
The hundred Oro note has the national flag of the empire on the front and the coronation of the first Emperor, John McClean Tagtmeier.
For those of great wealth their are 1,000 Oro notes and 25,00 Oro notes, and 100,000 Oro notes, but these are not in regular circulation and are only used by the Imperial Bank and the government for paying employees. The Imperial Oro's value is backed by property and crop supply.
