The Western Kingdom of Holcetaea was created by Christopher Steven Tagtmeier and a dissident faction of Steven's nobles. It all started when Steven sold the Duchy of Glenwood, of which Christopher was Duke. Christopher left the Eastern Kingdom of Holcetaea (then simply the Kingdom of Holcetaea) and headed west. He established the Principality of Western Holcetaea after conquering several western Duchies. After allying with his brother John McClean Tagtmeier and his nobles the Principality was able to defeat an alliance of local Princes. After this victory Christopher was crowned King. The Western Kingdom of Holcetaea is the most supportive of the Empire and is the most influential in affairs of the Empire of Holcetaea. Assembly of Western Holcetaea: Any citizens of the West are allowed to raise and vote on issues. The Assembly democratically elects two Representatives to the Imperial Council. The Assembly may demand that an issue be dealt with by gaining a simple majority, then the King is obliged to bring it before the Council as the Will of The People.
Government
King of Western Holcetaea: The King rules in the Emperor's name. The King is Commander of the Western division of the Imperial Army, and the King also presides over the Assembly of Western Holcetaea. Geography and Landmarks
The main feature of the Western Kingdom is the Yowa River(in Holcetaean English), called the Iowa River in American English. The land is hilly around the river, but smoothes out as you get away from the river. Western City is the Capitol and the population of the Kingdom is centered around it. The Kingdom totally surrounds Holcetae City though it does not rule over it.
