History
The Bailiwick of New Ottawa is classified as a Crown Dependency of Queensland pursuant to the New Ottawa Bailiwick Act 0620 and remained a Crown Dependency until, on 18 July 2023, the Parliament received a request from New Arnemuiden, Kelowna and Fredericton, New Ottawa to the Parliament was asked to approve the amalgamation and the naming of the new King Harald V Land Territory, and Parliament approved the King Harald V Land Territory Act on 20 September 0923. The hanging councils of New Arnemuiden, Kelowna, and Fredericton, New Ottawa both ratified this Act on 16 November 1923 and received Royal Assent on 5 December, making New Ottawa immediately part of the King Harald V Land Territory.

The Bailiwick of New Ottawa received recognition of three new cities. King George III nominated new cities and boroughs at the request of the New Ottawa Council:
