Sheikh Sabah Hall, or officially name Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Ceremonies Hall, opened on 13 January 2016, the day the new government change was announced. This hall was first named the Royal Palace Hall and has since undergone extensive renovations Helsmariehamn Palace opened on 7 June 2018 and reopened on 18 October 2018.

On 13 October 2020, King Albert V ordered the renaming of the Royal Palace Hall to Sheikh Sabah Hall in honour of Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait.

Sheikh Sabah Hall is a ceremonial hall used for both military and important ceremonies for important ceremonies such as the presentation of regimental colours or the memorial ceremony for Queen Elizabeth II, Sheikh Sabah Hall is also location to the National Heroes Monument.
